these look great but something to notice is that there's a bit of inconsistency in these scene in the sense that they were made diferent, they used diferent engine when making some CGI scenes, like the ending it was made diferently that the one from the epiloge or secret ending or that's the way it seemed to me

@@barsabe yep. his face wasn't moving. that was the problem, that they didn't figured out how to make Mickey's facial expression on CGI or Unreal Engine for the matter, at least in this instances as he hardly was not smilling. i know they are Disney Junior shows that did knew how to make Mickey have facial expression right but problem is that this is a videogame and probably didn't have much of expresience or budget or even time for that so at least i can let it slide

I gotta say, after seeing all of these scenes together and then comparing to the rest of the cutscenes that use the in-game models, I actually prefer the in-game Sora model to the CGI. The environments, effects, and literally every other character look incredible (I SOBBED the first time I saw that scene in Merlin's forest with Kairi and Axel) but there's something about this CGI Sora that seems like a step backwards compared to everything else. CGI Sora from the KH2 ending and the KH3D opening seemed much closer to his in-game model in KH3 and also generally more consistent with all other renders of him. This one looks almost younger than KH1. His face is rounder, his nose is smaller, eyes bigger and brighter, shoulders slighter...it all just makes him look a little too doll-like, I think. Like they took all of his features and exaggerated the youthfulness as much as they could. I'm kinda hoping they remodel him again before the next game he's in, if I'm honest. Edit: Also, there's something about his eyes that's going a bit uncanny valley for me. I couldn't place it at first, but I think they aren't quite animated enough to match his speech most of the time. They're a little too glassy-looking. Another Edit: BUT. The upgrade of PotC from KH2 to KH3?? Like damn. Nothing I just said applies to that. Sora's whole model, even his face, looks different there to me. For my least fave world in the game, it might actually have some of the best CGI (except Elizabeth, idk). (I need to stop editing this comment and just watch the video lol)

Most of these cutscenes was pre-rendered (not real cgi) because i know tetsuya nomura style. The REAL cgi cutscene was the opening & ending AND Verum Rex cutscene. Sorry my bad english.. :)

honestly visually the eyes pop out more the hair is more individually detailed and the mouths on characters are also more detailed. i guess its maybe also a matter of me having really good eyes? but i honestly can tell the difference very clearly between game and rendered cg

It’s easier to look at the eyes, hair and round surfaces or objects, in-game round surfaces are made up of multiple straight lines

The ongoing theory is that Nomura is getting his vision of FF13VS. The evidence is the locale, I would say the govt building (the 2 towered joined building) but that is also a real building irl. It was used as the base idea for the Capital Castle. Finally it's that piano at the start really closely sounds like Somnus.

It would had been amazing if everything was rendered in real time like the rest of the games, but just surprised they went with prerendered cutscenes for the extra "glitz".

@@barsabe wrong, with the exception of this game all KH games used real time rendering for the cutscenes except for the opening and endings of all. Minus the ds cutscenes with voice acting, but that was due to hardware limitations
