I totally agree with you. I work in a petrol station and instead of doing the cliche 'hi, how are you?' or talk about the weather, I ask how their day is going and start a small conversation and smile and try to cheer them up. It never ceases to amaze me how surprised people are by this and I can guarantee that every single person that leaves the shop has a smile on their face. All it takes is a few seconds more and to actually listen to what they have to say

You can tell this guy is in it to help people, you can tell he truly believes in it and that he is genuine because he almost starts crying a few times throughout his speech. That is true passion

Pat, after watching some clips here on youtube looking for something with meaning, may I say thank you so much for you wonderful words rather than saying well done. I felt your humbleness as you spoke. The tremble in your voice touched something within me. In a world filled with so much contempt for mankind just to hear a young person with a heart is very refreshing. You are a credit to your parents and to yourself. You also make me proud to be irish. d’fhéadfadh Dia tú a bheannú (The Power of One)

Just starting out with making a difference in peoples lives and it's all down to YOU...I bought your book (21 Day Jump Start) strangely enough on Christmas Eve for myself as a pressie..I needed something...I gave up my job and studied Fitness the following March 2014 and it's because of YOU and your words. I want to make a difference and empower people to be the best that they can be..Self belief. My new group is small in numbers but big in heart and passion to change. You continue to inspire me every day. Aishlinn, Balbriggan, Dublin.

Phenomenal Pat, and fair play to your parents and Mark - support is like a blood transfusion for the mind. It's so true that 1 small act, one good intention executed can have an incredible impact, as long as you are open to it. Looking fwd to November even more now.

Well done Pat, I am so proud of you. Can I share these few lines, in keeping with you theme, It was only a sunny smile and little it cost in the giving,but like the morning light,it scattered the night , and make the day worth living. These few lines were repeatedly quoted ,by my late, loving husband, one of the most positive people I had the privilege to meet Mary Divilly Sheehy

Lovely... Thanks for sharing, Mary! I'm sorry for your and the world's loss. Thank you, too, Pat; it's too easy to forget what really makes others and ourselves feel good, and it's brave of you to put yourself on a platform like this and actually open up and not just tell the world the glossy parts without the tears... lots so much respect for you right now, bud. You're doing good, and that's awesome :)

Thanks for the reminder, Pat, and for being yourself. I inspire and train unemployed people at job fairs, homeless shelters, schools, jails and such. I'm just starting out so I don't earn much yet financially, which makes life hard, and so it helps to be reminded that some of those listening could change their lives beginning the day of the "conversation" I have with them (because the best public speaking is really just a conversation with the audience, even if you're the only one talking). Carry on. :-)

So people payed 75EUR a month to attend classes with a 100 to 1 instructor ratio, on a beach that you don't have to pay rent on and with no facilities. That's terrible value for money.

+Hot Pot If it makes you thinner, stronger, healthier, happier and with a great camaraderie, support network, and a space to escape your problems, then it sounds like a good deal to me. Each to his own, I guess. Training on the beach is awesome btw

I payed 100EUR a month for small group personal training(8 people to 1 instructor) in Dublin 2. I had access to 3 top class trainers who all had experience working with professional athletes. Compare that to working out on a beach with 100 people to one trainer with questionable credentialsI. I've know Pat Divilly for years and he is a con artist.
@thetopofthelist
@thetopofthelist 8 жыл бұрын
By any chance, did any one of those trainers care about how you were doing outside the gym, did any of them inspire you to start up a business, write a blog, or write a book like Pat has to so many of his clients. I think not....
@NealHeneghan
@NealHeneghan 8 жыл бұрын
no, thats not what you pay a personal trainer for. Pat dangles the promise of all this personal development and growth but it's always served up with the caveat of "if you are not willing to work hard", giving Pat an easy out when all your dreams don't come true. He's basically selling you nothing more than a few inspiration instagram posts. If you really want to #beyourownhero you should start by not giving money to people like Pat Divilly.
