@@nicolewhite6030 I hated Ashley a lot more after comparing her to Stephanie Kaye from Degrassi Junior High. They both treat their stepbrothers like crap, they both tried outlandish ways of becoming school class president (both of them not fulfilling their duties along the way), and they both tried so hard to be perfect that they just fell down a dark path. The reason why I hated Ashley more was her reveal of her Dad being gay. Her reaction, it felt a little homophobic. I saw it as Ashley was trying everything she could to keep her parents together instead of letting them be happy with people they loved more than they loved each other. Ashley basically wanted everybody around her to be miserable as long as she was happy. That's why I don't like her.

This show brings back so many memories for me because it was with me growing up. I was a huge watcher of the-n & I saw the ad for the first season in 2001. I was 11. I was like I so have to watch this looks like my type of show. Best decision I made before I transitioned into a preteen to my teenage years. I remember one of the interviews they showed with Aubrey with his Mom and how he goes by Drake when he raps because its his middle name. For years I searched for Drake as a teen with no results then he got Famous I was like 😮 If anything I miss The-N website and collecting all the Degrassi avatars. I miss those avatars like crazy.

I was 9 years when I first discovered Degrassi. It was the summer of 07’ going to the 5th grade. I stayed up the the whole summer watching 24hr marathons on “The N”. Sleeping on the couch in the living room🥹

Theres something so charming about going through all of these degrassi videos and seeing people so in love or fascinated by the show. I never watched, dont really like it due to my more child like mindset (more into old cartoons) and think a lot of the show os rather poorly written and raunchy, tho I am intrested in the concept and how it lasted so long so these deep dives are quite fun
