Even though I think Rick didn’t deserve any special treatment, but I don’t think he deserve to get bullied even what he did to Terri. Ignoring him his present or interact with him, I think bullying him a right thing to do. Because they were bad and he was he did to Terri, plus they really took it too far and he finally snapped. If I’m concerned he was doing nothing wrong by returning to the same school, the only thing he did was he hurts a student in the same school and put them into a coma. Even though I don’t feel sorry for Rick being treated differently after what he did to Terri, as he trying to be better but nobody at least let him try and even though I don’t blame them for not wanting to. But he didn’t deserve to be bullied and abused because he isn’t welcome. But bullying him way isn’t the right solution or solve it as I said it before, they were just as bad as he was what he did Terri and they are no better as he is. And look what happened and one too many and he snapped. At this point, I could not blame Rick on that episode. Because Spinner and Jay really took it this time and someone else paid the price because of them.

The thing is that schools actually do that. And that's what I like about Degrassi, it may be cheesy but they are realistic. Snake 🐍 going off on Raditch about him undermining the bullying against Rick would of been avoided if he wasn't allowed to be back.

Spinner losing all his friends and getting expelled was really the rock bottom he needed to start getting his shit together, and I love it. From here on out, Spinner is really on an upward path in his development. By the end of his arc, he grows into a genuinely decent man. It was so good.

Yep. Spinner became a man. He did have confidence but his bullying and antics showed childish immaturity. He was selfish, trifling and overall a bad friend to Jimmy and Marco, well Marco he grew overtime but he was especially horrible to Jimmy. When he finally took accountability for his mistakes, he decided to finally redeem himself and became a good man. Spinner knew how to be a man Physically and Mentally, but Jimmy had something that he didn’t, Spirit! Remember, being a man isn’t about putting on muscle, gaining confidence and fearless, it’s also about fighting for what’s right and fighting against what’s wrong, and you can’t do wrong things because you think doing right things are lame, that’s them being a loser.

I know right. If Jay hadn't started the lie that he and Spinner told Terri's abusive ex-boyfriend, Rick about who was behind the paint and feathers prank that day, Jimmy wouldn't be in that wheelchair and nothing would have happened between him and Spinner and Spinner would still be in Craig's band and wouldn't have lost any of his friends or gotten expelled.

Paige losing her court case was so depressing but so important; it’s such a horrifying reality that many rape victims don’t see justice because it’s so hard to properly prove in court. I also appreciate the way they wrote the judge’s verdict, her basically saying “I’m really sorry, because I completely believe that this POS raped you, but I legally can’t convict him”

I feel like people put S3 over S4 because of how much scandal went on in S3, but S4 is the season that truly lives up to their slogan "it goes there." S3 was raw in terms of the issues it portrayed but didn't wrap any conclusions up in a pretty bow or sugarcoat it. It wasn't all happy endings. Not everyone got sad endings. And it was the season that let you see the middle ground with many uncomfortable topics. S4 reigns supreme in the DNG universe.

Time Stands Still will always make me emotional bc everything could have been avoided. Jimmy and Rick were becoming good friends and Spinner and Jay had to set him off. Jimmy could have died bc of them. I also feel bad for Mr. Simpson bc this isn’t the first gun related incident he’s had to deal with under the supervision or Mr. Radditch. It’s all messed up.

As Jimmy said about the guy who killed JT, Rick was a ticking time bomb. Did people forget he was about to shoot Paige ? Jay and Spinner's comments did set him off against Jimmy, but if they said that Toby or Liberty did the prank, he would've shot one of them, not Jimmy.

i almost cracked my screen clicking on this so fast, thank you for your work & pov on all of these videos!! degrassi has been one of my special interests since early middle school and being able to revisit the series as a fully grown adult at 28 is so, so cool. some of my opinions on situations in the show have changed with age + experience, but it’s a testament to how well degrassi was written/executed that i find myself immersed in the story all over again, rather than constantly pulled out by how unrealistic the characters act. so much love & please keep these coming! ❤

Paige & Spinner were such a weird, gross, ill-fitting couple. Their characters were too similar, they seemed like siblings who were dating. Plus all Spinner ever did was pressure Paige into sex or being alone with him, even knowing what happened to her in terms of trauma. He also tried to make Paige's trial ordeal all about his own feelings and vendetta.

Crazy looking back on this show, and just how good I/we had it without realizing it. We had "the simpsons" level of comedy mixed with a teen breaking bad levels of drama/storytelling. Something that kind of feels foreign nowadays, is how many scenes sort of blend together, and involve multiple characters all the time. Like just because 2-3 characters are the "focus" of a story, they often tell their friends, or someone stumbles into the scene. Then the "secondary" characters do their best to actually support, because well they are friends, so why wouldn't they? Even with only having around 20 or so main characters, that makes the school feel so full, and alive. They are about as human as you can get for acting and not much feels particularly forced. Even the C-tier characters, or one-offs are incredible. Even though I feel the show has a steady decline from this point (from memory), it is quite difficult to match the level of seasons 2-4, so it is kind of natural. Have an apple.

In Ontario if the victim of SA doesn't want to testify, the Crown still goes ahead with the case. Dean would still have to go to court and if he didn't that would be failure to appear. You know what's funny? Ashley and Craig have a great relationship when they're hanging out as friends. It's when they try to have a romantic relationship that it falls apart. Ashley expects WAY too much from him. OMG, I forgot the pen!$ pump episode. You know the writers were all giggling the whole time, too. I also find it hilarious that the neighborhood Degrassi is in is Riverdale (in real life, too, Degrassi Street is in the Riverdale section of Toronto. ). If I had better editing skills I'd do a Riverdale-Degrassi mashup...also throw in stuff from the obscure 90s non-Archie Riverdale show! I'm weird, but I have no editing talent. Why didn’t Alex get the same treatment? She also should have been expelled.

Seasons 1-7 of Degrassi is up there with Saved By The Bell, Full House, Boy Meets World etc iconic absolutely amazing television after that original cast from The Next Gen left it was never the same the new characters just didn’t hit the same as Emma and Jimmy’s 2005 and 2007 classes I stopped watching when they left I would watch episodes and specials where old cast would return like Degrassi Goes Hollywood or Degrassi Takes Manhattan where Spinner and Emma get married if you got the chance to watch this series in real time on the n/ teennick you will get how iconic it truly is
