The major big differences is that the Venom films are in a cinematic universe without Spider-Man. Venom in its movies doesn’t have the spider logo on its chest, and we already know why, because Spider-Man is currently in the MCU.

@ oh wow so that was the motivation. Since the motivation in modern media is that his character changes in an aggressive manner so he notices that way. Very interesting, I’ve always wanted to read the Spider-Man comic where he has the suit and then he takes it off and fights venom, where can I find that ? I’ve never read a comic in my life but I do read manga although I know it’s different.

He's a villain who slowly over time became an ant-hero and that's what we should get. I saw a trailer for the newest Venom movie and it had the words superhero in it and I just shook my head. The absolute disrespect to the source material is heartbreaking. All for some action and some jokes.

It's incredible how not a single popular modern adaptation has gotten Venom right to me. Nor Sam Raimi's, nor Hardy's, nor Insomniac. It's like they shame away further and further from what the original character is with each new adaptation. Ironically Raimi's Venom is the closest in essence

realistically insomniacs is the most like the comics. raimis is too small and dumb to correctly compare directly to the comics. venom, a big, tall and muscular, smart symbiote that acts as a villain/anti-hero.

@ven3209 "least accurate" when he's actually a villain, has the same powers and origin story, and the same ways of infecting the hosts mind. the least accurate is Sony's venom, although my favorite due to the goofy, more emotionally driven side of the character and the relationship made with the host. the only adaptation of venom that is truly symbiotic with its host.

Venom does NOT hate flash Thompson nor Peter Parker 😭 The symbiote likes flash so much it actually tried bonding with both him and Eddie at the same time And it was revealed the reason Eddie’s hatred towards Peter was constantly growing it’s because the other has always loved Peter and wanted to return to him which made Eddie jealous

I do not like what they’re doing with venom. I think Tom Hardy is a great Eddie but I want to see venom with Spider-Man’s powers. That’s what made him so cool to me. I was extremely disappointed in the ps5 game because of the fact venom had a big ass spider on his chest with no spiderman powers. That’s just my opinion though 🤷🏼‍♂️

Movie venom is cool. Topher graces venom is demon. It had to die. I saw venom 3 un opening day last month the ending made me cry. I don't read comics because comics don't make sense half of the time. Especially the new ones. What is king in black? Didn't we already have that with planet of the symbiotes? And carnage is dangerous level threat than knull guy whoever this is. I like the concept of Eddie having son it adds positive development to his character. However it should have been pitched earlier not in the modern day. The whole thing with civil war & one more day screwed everything up. Anti venom not exist, gargan not be venom, flash not be venom, lee not be venom, angelo forganato not be venom. Why did Eddie get Cancer from the symbiote? That didn't happen in the original issues. And he never had problem with it before. Marvel screwed up Spiderman and venom both. Took away marriage from peter parker and mary jane, gave Eddie cancer from the symbiote n created Anti venom, created Scorpion venom, forgot planet of the symbiotes happened so just went back again n rewrote over the old story forgetting it existed. And venom cant spawn that many symbiotes. Carnage is able to. Venom is not. Peter and mary jane they had good thing going til Someone got stupid n decided write one more day, create paul, create superior Spider man, make everything the last few decades built up from before in the 90's & 80's go out the door. Just gone! Gone completely gone! Mary Jane and peter should have settled down and raised child. Peter doesn't have be spider man every single time theres the avengers they got it covered. The fantastic four or the x men. Peter should have stopped n retired. He deserved it. He deserved have daughter with mary Jane. Black cat you can't tell me otherwise. And i thought interesting pitch going back to the venom being female thing Instead of Eddie Brock becoming venom what if Mary Jane became venom? And she went after black cat because peter broke their relationship up one time. Because he was in relationship with black cat when he had the black suit it makes sense jealous girlfriend goes after ex girlfriend and beats the shit out of her. Thus leading to Spiderman having help his main primary girlfriend be free from the symbiote because of jealousy & broken heartness. That makes interesting story. And Eddie should have retired from being venom too. Earlier on if they pitched the concept of Eddie and anne having son. She didn't need hide him from that. Especially if its their child. What the hell Anne?

While the venom symbiote does have a sense of humour in the comics, I absolutely hate how they made it a dumb joke-spewing loser trying to appease and attract the lowest common denominator movie-goers in the Hardy Trilogy. Watched the first one in the cinema and disliked it. Gave the second a chance on streaming and hated it. I am not even bothering to check out the third; I’ve already learnt my lesson. These movies weren’t made for comic fans like myself, just the normies who will swallow any old slop
