OH I also remember going to Knotts Berry Farm with my Parents when I was young..Oh the memories. I remember having the pie..but never got to have the stew...But now I can!! It looks so yummy!! I love all kinds of stew. I could eat it 3 days in a row as I think its even better the next day or even freeze some of it!! What a great memory Jill. Thanks again for letting me be part of your book, it was such an honor.

Your stew looks excellent; the dark rich color is stunning. We are also loving seeing you back in the retro lakeside kitchen as well. So thrilled for you and the publication of what we suspect is just the first of many excellent books. You, Jill, and YesterKitchen, totally rock!

10:10... Yes, Jill it is YOUR BOOK! And boy-howdie, do you have a lot about which to be proud! I promised that I'd read it cover to cover the day it arrived, but the book is so full of love that I had to take my time with each and every story. (And I'm an avowed bibliophile with a serious reading addiction). Seriously, Jill I'm so happy that I found your channel some years ago and I cherish when you chuckle at some of my comments. Congrats on the book! It's a huge thrill to see your creation in the flesh at last. The stew sounds great, and as any good stew is, eminently customizable. I have a friend who often went to KBF as a youngster, and his favorite memory is their fruit punch, Ever tried that? supposedly they still sell it at the park today..

Congratulations! On not getting to cook with onions - have you tried substituting with leeks? It obviously won’t be exactly the same, but depending on what about onions your husband hates they may be an acceptable alternative that at least gets you some oniony flavor. I have to avoid regular white/yellow onions due to acidity, but find leeks work in many cases.
@yesterkitchen
@yesterkitchen 2 жыл бұрын
HI Eirrenia! I appreciate the help! I have tried every version of the onion to no avail. I just cook off camera with extra garlic! Its taken years of trial and error but I can cook delicious meals without it and manage to sneak them in every now and then, LOL!
