OH I also remember going to Knotts Berry Farm with my Parents when I was young..Oh the memories. I remember having the pie..but never got to have the stew...But now I can!! It looks so yummy!! I love all kinds of stew. I could eat it 3 days in a row as I think its even better the next day or even freeze some of it!! What a great memory Jill. Congrats on the book! It's a huge thrill to see your creation in the flesh at last. The stew sounds great, and as any good stew is, eminently customizable. I have a friend who often went to KBF as a youngster, and his favorite memory is their fruit punch, Ever tried that? supposedly they still sell it at the park today..

Congratulations! On not getting to cook with onions - have you tried substituting with leeks? It obviously won’t be exactly the same, but depending on what about onions your husband hates they may be an acceptable alternative that at least gets you some oniony flavor. I have to avoid regular white/yellow onions due to acidity, but find leeks work in many cases.

HI Eirrenia! I appreciate the help! I have tried every version of the onion to no avail. I just cook off camera with extra garlic! Its taken years of trial and error but I can cook delicious meals without it and manage to sneak them in every now and then, LOL!
