I have a copy of this recipe, it's actually from 1951 and the winner's full name was Betty Cooper. Your variation is different - the original has 3 ounces of chocolate, 4 eggs, and does not include nuts - can see the recipe plus many others at the Pillsbury Bake-Off official site.

I am Sorry about the Previous Tangent of "Thank Giving".. I was kind of confussed..But Woth reading.. Green Bean Casserole.. The Creepy Thing that Grandma, Made and contributed to Thanks Giving, And Every Other holiday, along with Sweet Potato Marsh Mellow Nightmare, thing!.. And of Course GrandPaws's Cinnamon Peaches from a can, which was usually "Untouched".. Anyways, I REALLY MISS Those Days Every Day, and did not understand how Finite, those days were, as I was So Young.. Growing up.. These Are Precious Memmories! OMG my God How much I Miss my Scattered Family!

Do We REALLY Know the History of, "Thanks Giving"?? No, it was More Politicised and Bloodier, that we thought.. History is Kinda Weird and less likely than we thought or Raised in at School!.. All LIEs! Christopher as I was taught, Is a LEI!.. But the Thought of the Pilgrims having a seat with the Natives was a Peaceful, thing, was kind of a certain for a moment.. The Food And meal, in a sence, was a LIE.. But makes a Delecious MEAL, in mordern tradition, Especially in a LeftOver Sandwich or an Omlet or Something! = YUMM.. Turkey, Stuffing, and EVERYTHING Else stacked into a Sandwhich = YUMM!! = DAGWOOD X 2!! As far as History goes.. I do Not Really who to beleive!! This was a Peace Treatie that broke out to War, or it Never reall Happened, Or a Treaty for a Tribe or 2?? Nobody has the Answers.. Things are really cuttled around this time! Anyone.. Please Correct me of this, If I am Wrong, as I LOVE History! & I LOVE to be Corrected! I Love to Learn!

I was raised in St. Louis metro area. I grew up eating this dressing, and make it at home monthly. Ralph and Charlies Steak House served it as their house salad for years. Moonlight Italian Restaurant in Wood River still serves it to this day, with crushed captains wafers. Its amazing.

That pale and fluffy egg and sugar mixture is known as a Sabayon (French) and the very same mixture is the basis of the Italian Zabaglione (both words are from the same base).

I loved these at Halloween as a kid and I still would love to eat them. The first time I had one I could not believe how great they were. I know my eyes had to have light up and saw stars and hearts. Wow. The taste of butter and a tiny amount of salt with the sweetness, good God almighty. They were horrible for my teeth and still are, that’s why I don’t touch them. Even at Christmas they were great. Heck, anytime they were great.

About safety on Halloween, there has not been one verified report of a child receiving a treat with anything dangerous in it. It is an urban myth that baby boomers accepted hysterically as fact and so started restricting their children, now for their grandchildren, fewer are even allowed to go trick-or-treating at all. If they are allowed, it’s only to a restricted area in a neighborhood the parents know the people. Most children must go to organized events now. No one bothers to handout homemade treats because everyone knows the parents will not allow the children to eat anything that didn’t come wrapped up or in a box from a store.

The first time i had this was in 1984. My mother was a great cook but she didn't make salads like this. I was fed this when i went to college. They woman put dorittos in it right when she was going to serve it. I went home for break and made this salad and a Cobb salad. Oh and one salad with so many things added it was a meal alone. My mom never made pain salads again.
