I have the doll in the Judy Garland sculpt and she is one of my favorites! I prefer her over the other dolls they released. In person, her eyebrows seem more noticeable and her slippers do have bows, just hard to see in photos online. Hopefully we see a new doll line in the future, but only if they use the Judy Garland sculpt for Dorothy.

I had the talking Glinda Barbie as a kid and played with her all the time. Mattel actually released a Wizard Of Oz collection for the Barbie Peek-A-Boo Petites line in 2008 ❤

You might know this by now but if there's two dates online for a doll it means the following; the first year is the production/boxing date and the next year is the official release year. The entire process of releasing a doll takes about a year:)

I got the 2010 Ms. Dorothy for like $20 when I was 9 😭 I still have her somewhere in a box and I absolutely loved how pretty she is especially the tallest platform sparkly heels

❤ When released the Mego 1970's for the price are the best Dorothy doll and if you prefer more a glam higher priced beautiful Dorothy the 1984 Effanbee doll is Great and looks like Judy Garland.

I saw your video on Glinda (nice job) and you mentioned the Mego dolls there as well as here. You can sometimes score the Mego (pronounced Me Go) dolls at a good price. I have the full set and they are really amazing and they have some really amazing playsets that can sometimes be found in good shape on the secondary market (the price can be reasonable or ridiculous, like a lot of stuff on the secondary market). The Dorothy dolls in this video are beautiful--- Mattel really does this right.

Dorothy was one i saw in stores but never got to add to my collection. The whole series had tommy and Kelly and Ken as well as barbie. On my wishlist of grail dolls. The playline version might be in my price range though. I would love to find one that still lights up as that's a gimmick that Always saw on 90s early 2000s dolls that made them so appealing. Very cool review and the difference between them isn't that far off other than the details and quality of the dress.

The first 1994/1995 version actually had two very slightly different versions, but main differences being the box and her braids. One had a hard top, and there some word differences.

I own the porcelain one , and she to me is the only Dorothy doll that looks close to Judy Garland as Dorothy. The porcelain one is stunning and well worth the price if you can find her.The Porcelain one is sculpted to Judy's likeness as was 2013. The 2013 was meant to be a vinyl version of the porcelain one. They missed the mark though on the vinyl one.

Watch ebay close thats how I got her new in box on a auction for 40 bucks not that long ago, and I saw her and the Wicked Witch go for 70 together I think 3 days ago. When it comes to Wizard of Oz which is my favorite non animated movie from childhood , I stick to porcelain in Dorothy, I also have the Marie Osmond Adora Belle Anniversary Dorothy dollwhich is stunning if you want another amazing Dorothy doll. @@dolls2remember

I hope someday Mattel give us Dorothy doll with that luxurious Victorian ringlet and matching bow hairstyle when she got a makeover in Emerald City too....! Kinda sad that after first Dorothy, they don't give her nice petticoat, but I guess that's what it's true to the film. And yes, Dorothy was also one of my favorite Classic Hollywood Heroine. Example of that you can be both feminist and also sweet and innocent too.

I am regretting more and more that I let my daughter's friends play with our Barbies, the Dorathy shoes are gone grr. My self, little sister, both my daughters played very well and dressed or dolls well. Only One day youngest daughters friends "played" with our Barbies (13 yr olds) and they broke the necks of soooo many 60s and 70s Barbies 😭😭😭😭. We also have odd shoes for the first time after they played with the dolls. 😢
