So he knows it's true! That video isn't a "parody," it's how it was. When Johnny tells Miguel his side of the story, nothing he says is false or even embellished. Johnny had no reason to believe he was a villain. He was just a kid going through a rough patch and trying to pull it back together, as he explicitly tells his friends right before Daniel shows up. Even Mr. Miyagi acknowledges that Johnny isn't the villain, but just overly aggressive due to the misguided teachings of the real villain. To this today, Ralph Macchio talks in doublespeak when defending Daniel's actions.

I think it’s cool how they used past loves Ali and Kumiko to help Johnny and Daniel in different ways . Johnny being released from Ali’s spell of being the first love that got away . That has been holding Johnny back his whole life . With Daniel it’s Ali telling him he got it right with his wife . Kumiko helps Daniel when he needs Mr Miyagi as he feels his life spinning out of control.It shows you important people of your past form who you are today and your still connected even after 30 years .

One of the things that i found interesting is that the Miagi do students wear white while the cobra kai students wear black. You see that Daniel wasn't very prepared for all that cobra kai was going to do. So when he went back to Okinawa and meet back up with chosen Daniel still wore a white gee while chosen wore a grey gee as they fought. Showing that chosen was teaching Daniel new miagi do Karate methods that will help him to defeat cobra kai. And where chosen was trying to get Daniel out of a narrow black and white view point. And to show him that there are times where even in miagi do karate that you need to kill with an opponent who insists on war. Helping Daniel to improve his skills and become a better teacher for it.

If Cobra Kai looses the tournament, and Kreese gets violent with him then that could be what gets Robby to come back to Daniel and Johnny and admit they were right. But on the other hand, I do notice the show getting darker at every season, so maybe Kreese successfully kills Robby because he learned from the last tournament to "punish" his losers in private. This leaves both Daniel and Johnny unable to save him. This could serve as a catalyst for Season 5 where Johnny and Daniel plot revenge after finding out what happened. Even if Kreese doesn't kill Robby, I still wouldn't be surprised if someone gets murdered in Season Four.

3 ish EE’s I don’t think many bring up The first is the house fight - when the kid gets thrown into the wall and the lights shut off, it’s the same way Miyagi threw Mike Barnes into the wall, shutting off the lights like so The “Circle Pan” as I call it was used twice in the same fight I think, for Sam and someone else, then her and Tory again The “curtain reveal” split similar to that of Miguel and Sam with Tory. Both people pull away, someone’s in between them in the background. Used for Robby and Johnny.

Everyone missed this two Easter eggs. Japanese karate origins are the dragon, praying mantis, crane and tiger, all in that order. Chozen showed Daniel the praying mantis technique when he raised both of his arms in the defense form, not the Chinese version. Praying mantis disables their prey, just like he disabled Daniel in their fight. Chozen gave him a scroll that was never opened. He gave him the dragon technique. So if everyone missed it, in the ending credits of episode 10, you will hear a chime from a famous Nintendo game in 1987 called double dragon and Nintendo is a Japanese brand. When Johnny was working with Miguel looking for a new name, he wanted to name his new dojo Triple K, which is not a very good idea. If you see the similarities of double dragon game characters and Johnny and Daniel, it is spot on. The new name for the dojo will be double dragon do. Triple D. Daniel will open up the scroll that Chozen gave him and teach it to prepare for the all valley tournament against Kreese and Silver

But, since it is a hawk in on the banner instead of an Eagle - it could be taken as Hawk looking at his own behavior - setting up the fact he ultimately joins Eagle Fang, Admittedly, I May have read that into it all on my own but made me smile. I still think that snake is going to have something to do with the demise of Kreese since it would be a call back to the snake pit Kreese tossed his captain into.
