Just a little detail I noticed: - The way Beta dies while falling into the walker horde is sort of mirroring how he used to be a musician and when he's sort of absorbed into the herd it's like a rockstar in a crowd. Beta was truly a Top #3 villain in The Walking Dead.

My biggest gripe with the first episode of season 10 was why Aaron crossed the border, he could’ve just made noise and killed the walkers when they wandered onto their territory but instead he starts a conflict for really no reason

Yeah that was pretty silly. A justification I came to is that no one has seen the Whisperers for a very long time and they are starting to feel like they are restricting their scavenging routes unnecessarily.

The disrespect to Hornsby is crazy... I'm shocked you mentioned how great Pope's actor was but didn't talk about the outstanding role of Lance Hornsby. I found that he bodied the slimey-politician role, and his transition into villainry was amazing. Really felt like he was the final villain with the amount of content he had compared to Pamela. Thought just from a sheer performance point of view that he was the best villain the show had introduced since Negan & The Governor.

Genuinely found him to be the stand-out character of the final season, 11x5 - 11x20, and then he still manages to show up in the series finale as a walker.

I didn't say he was a bad actor, I just didn't care much for his character because it's season 11 and we should be wrapping things up not throwing more characters into the mix. Regarding Pope, I thought he was decent but wasted potential, he should have been in the series much earlier.

Surely you can still add new characters to the Last season, it's 24 episodes, he's part of the Commonwealth Arc which is the last part of the story. To give some context: The reason that the final few episodes of Season 10 feel so dragged out and fillery is because the pandemic hit them midway through production. They had to drastically reduce the number of cast members and production crew due to Covid restrictions, which led to this combo of bottle episodes. On how much cooler the show would've been if they kept the smart walkers, they already have a system like that; the fact that everyone is infected... yet they kinda forgot about that. So how on earth does a colony of 50000 people (even more in the lore, some have like 200k iirc) not have outbreaks every week. We saw this sort of thing happen in the prison with the flu outbreak, and how just one death fucked an entire cellblock.
