I take a look at every expansion part we've seen so far in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. There are video clips of each, with the exception of pulse armor which still... sort of... has one.

I love how stuff like assault armor has been reworked from being something that makes the enemy vulnerable into something that allows you to have a kind of truly offensive defense.

However, one of the major advantages of Assault Armor in the past was being able to use it an indefinite number of times per game; You could use AA to kill trash mobs and focus your finite ammo on larger enemies. That behavior seems to be gone. I wonder if we'll get a different core expansion that has many/unlimited uses in exchange for less damage. (edit) Also, in prior games from the AC3 universe, the EO core function served a similar role; It provided a small amount of continuous damage output, which improved the player's ammo efficiency and rate of fire. Energy EO would regenerate while it was disabled, so it was effectively endless. Will we get anything like this in AC6?

Ya I think Assult armor is also the best per chip cost. There might be situations where the others are better. But this one has the benefits of the others just with a more timed capability. Excited to start playing it.

The details around the Difference between Pulse Armor and Pulse Protection are what's making me dubious about which one I'd rather use. It's hard to make out in the clips about Duration and Durability, the situations are very specific and leave a lot to interpretation. As of now, I think I'll be going with Pulse Armor for the ability to follow my AC, especially if I go airborne with a Tetrapod build. I wonder what else could be there, something like the Old School floating Gun Pods (like Funnels from Gundam) or an active Missile Defense System (like a mini-CIWS) could be really fun to have. I'm sure FromSoft could also come up with some Totally Original Stuff like a Flight unit that vastly reduces energy consumption during flight. We're getting ever closer to the Rubicon system

Historically. The core has always had an automatic missile defense system called VF-MX response angle. It doesn’t get them all, but it’ll get that slow big one if you angle it correctly

@@iralas yep, we've had them in cores before. We have also seen them on shoulders (not that we have those). So I expect something.

An example of Pulse Armor potentially could be in the first reveal trailer for AC6. When the Quadleg AC jumps in, we see what almost looks like Primal Armor when it’s shot.

For sure that's probably pulse armor. I was hoping for an actual in game example, since the cinimatics and in game often differ a bit. Still, a good example.

I believe we do have footage of Pulse Armor. At 1:31 in the AC6 Reveal Trailer, we see an AC activate a barrier that looks exactly like the Terminal Armor barrier. However, since that AC is coming from up high and landing down in the battlefield, it makes me think that they used Pulse Armor, rather than Terminal Armor just activating. It also appears that your BALTEUS hypothesis is correct.

The quad leg from the original trailer? Yea,we do see that. Though often gameplay mechanics aren't properly shown in a cinimatic trailer so I didn't include it. Would have been a good reference though.

It makes sense for Terminal Armor to make AC immune to damage for several seconds, since AC6 already have some rapid-fire or multi-shot weapons, dying AC will be hit multiple times anyway.

Quick turning is an OS Tuning option like kicking, but not an equipable expansion part :)

It could be, and that's how it's functioned in the past. That's even how it's shown in the trailer. Guess we will have to find out on that one.

It's a permanent global unlock. Though you may be able to turn it on/off via the OS Tuning menu. Though I'm not sure why you would.

@vezonialithium4474 they all have that, though I think it would be weird if they hadn't revealed it yet and didn't show it on the menu. I think those may serve some.other function if it's true they don't have DLC currently planned. Maybe a system for launching or storage?

So basically Pulse Armor = Primal Armor, Assault Armor = Assault Armor. Seems I can only go to Early 4th gen (PA only) or Late 4th gen (AA). Man i'm jealous of the missiles boss, it seem to have both AA and Pulse Armor effectively its a NEXT. Thx for doing this! So sad that no one has pulse armor gameplay. The only screenshot of Pulse Armor is from the early leak. In that leak i saw what appear to be primal armor and shield, people thought there are no primal armor (pulse armor) because there only shield in gameplay and that the one in the screenshot is just shield from weird angle.

@TrickyMellow they each have a certain "charges" that serve as an ammo count. It varies depending on the one you pick. In the gameplay you can see it in the lower left of the HUD.

Depends on your control scheme. You will have to check the options. You don't start out with them though so if you haven't unlocked it yet you can't.

I think it just moves slower. So maybe useful for heavier slow builds, quad legs while hovering, etc. Also depending on how you line it up, it could effectively be between you and incoming fire.

There are ALOT of missiles. I'm assuming they broke through the damage threshold it protects from. So maybe not the ideal time. Still better than eating the missile swarm though.
