There are certain things every angler/fisherman should carry. Here is my list of those things. Some are obvious while others are not. If you dont have any one of these the day will come that you'll wish you did. Fix that now. What did I miss that is a must have for you?

All very important tools. At the very least you gotta have pliers. Thanks Sean.

Great video Sean thank you for the tips and recommendations. I have a lot of the stuff in this video and they all are very useful especially in a pinch when you need them. As always tight lines keep the content coming !!!

I fish in a lake with lots of trees with over hanging limbs over the water. Very often, I will cast a lure into the limbs while trying to skip up under or between limbs. I have bought a simple quality pair of hand pruning shears to cut the limb that my lure is hung on. This way, you don’t damage your trolling motor and disturb the lake making a commotion trying to free your lure. Also keep all your pliers oiled and lubricated to avoid rust and allow free movement.

Great advice! I still need to replace my heavy-duty cutters.....I picked up a pair of the PLine cutters a couple days before your video where you mentioned their ineffectiveness 3-4 months ago. Luckily I haven't had to put them to use....lol

It’s one of those things, hopefully you never need them. If you do need them you will be happy you had a good pair.

First Aid kit. Been watching all the videos, and I finally have to ask What's up with the flat lid? It just looks wrong!

It feels wrong as well. They were giving em away at the show when you bought 2 glide baits. I love the hat but I’m not a flat bill guy. It feels weird to me. I pretty much only use it for making videos.

Where can I buy that Donkeys hat?

That is something that was being given away at the show with the purchase of multiple swim baits. I’m not sure but you may want to keep an eye on G Ratt Baits web site. I’d like to think they will be available because it’s an awesome hat.

@ Thanks, Sean! I’m really enjoying your videos. We’re about the same age and I’m a disabled second grade teacher. I had to walk away after 27 years due to three lumbar spine surgeries and degenerative disc disease, mobility problems, and high chronic pain. Thankfully, I can still fish I just have to do it very differently. Gone are the days of standing for eight hours pitching to lily pads. I’m sharing about my situation so you know how much I appreciate when you share ideas on how to simplify fishing . Thanks for sharing specific techniques and incorporating shorter and/or lighter rods to reduce fatigue on and after being on the water.

@johnclinton9257 thanks for sharing. Getting to know my viewers makes it more personal. I try to work out somewhat regularly as it helps me in my fishing.

@ I noticed that. I am unable to tolerate vigorous exercise it causes terrible muscle spasms but I am able to use a Pilates reformer to maintain my strength and build up the strength of my core.

@johnclinton9257 I wouldn’t say what I’m doing now is vigorous. More just exercising to try and maintain strength and conditioning. When I don’t do it I get a very sore back and shoulders. At times I get into and others it’s a major chore. Right now it’s a major chore.
