Jordan and pippin were the only ones to legit jump from the line. Jordan went a little past it a couple of times but his first one was from the line. Pippin was from the line. The others were all like a foot past it.

As a former college player I can say a standard dunk from the free throw line is not as hard as people think for athletes who are one-foot jumpers. Ask any long or triple jumper as well. I did it once my sophomore year. However, what Zach did is ridiculously hard. He gets the crown for the best free throw line dunk. Jordan gets the crown for the most graceful.

@@Jim26D no he didn't 0:53. He had several different dunks, one of which was on the line and as such a legit FT line dunk. Pay better attention next time.

I enjoy watching Jordan dunk Pippen's was further back than jordan lol Also Jordan did that free throw line dunk over and over again in slam dunk contests. Wilkins was robbed in a few dunk competitions with jordan. Lavine is the best dunker to date

Is Scottie the only one that took off behind the line?
@Swav.Zielin4 жыл бұрын
The only one before line here I saw was Ibaka (whatever his name is) and he only barely slammed the ball. Pippen's was toes over the line (but he threw it down). Conley Sr (in college) dunks a foot before the line, but thats not NBA contest and he was a world class triple jumper.

Running to the line gives you a lot more momentum. That's why Jordan's will always be the benchmark - he dribbled to the line. If he'd just sprinted, you could probably add on another metre to his jump

Did Zach Levine just do a between the legs dunk from the free throw line? That's better than any dunk from the free throw line in nba history. That man is a freak of nature
