My personal favourite political system is one of my own creation. Call it neo-socialism. Marx was a smart man but he failed to take into account that some people are inherently greedy. Not all of us, but some. And that being smart, self-centered, and powerful is a lethal combination for any political system that invariably and unavoidably arises either due to a crisis, because other folks helped to make it happen, or both. Capitalism in its current form is ideal for fostering these kinds of folks and allowing them to attain levels of wealth, fame, and power monarchs of old could have only dreamed of. An entire planet to pillage if you play your cards right. And they collect this wealth at the cost of the rest of us. Decrepit institutions and companies corrupted to the core, stagnant markets with a few giants vying for control and loads of con men and unfair anticompetitive practices, drug empires run by people rich enough to bribe their way out of any problem. This is feudalism without a king or centralized structure. Democracy in name only. And the “communist” regimes of the twentieth century who made that idea unpalatable to a large part of the world, doing damage that could take centuries to repair, were not socialist. They’re even worse than many of these capitalist countries. At least we have rights here that are somewhat enforced. Democracy is not compatible with a greed-fostering, plutocrat-enabling system. And Thomas Hobbes was right about the tiny portion of us who currently hold most of the real power. Those addicted to wealth and fame, those who get turned on to the though of their power like a stable couple in a bedroom at night; those folks are too far gone and irreversibly corrupted by their own might to even try and save. I won’t say much more, but here’s one more thing to get any future readers of this comment going on the philosophical side. The 20th century in socialism has taught me that we need private property and at least some wealth division, to give us something to aspire towards. Fascism is actually more left wing in many aspects. There is a reason Mussolini was a huge socialist before he got into fascism. Fascism derives from the Italians word “fascio” which literally means “bundle” but is used synonymously with the word “syndicate” in Italian (look at the fascist icon - literally a bundle of sticks). Fascism in Italian therefore literally means “syndicalism” and is really just an Italian take on syndicalism, which generally goes under the socialist umbrella together with classical marxism for instance. The key difference between fascism and marxism really just comes down to nationalism vs internationalism. Fascism strives to implement socialism just within the nation state - the shared identity and culture or homogeneity of the people and the “cultural homelands” of said people bound together by a large authoritarian state whose job is to act within the collective “best interests” of said people in the name of national socialism. On the contrary, marxism generally wants to create some sort of workers’ socialist international union state in order to overthrow capitalism and achieve socialism on a global scale. Just simply calling fascism “far-right” doesn’t really make sense, since compared to traditional far-right political ideologies such as libertarianism, they couldn’t be any more different. In fact, fascism has much more in common with traditional far-left ideologies like communism and the aforementioned syndicalism. So what do we take away from all of this? That the traditional left-right political spectrum isn’t really all that useful in mapping or actually making us understand the different political ideologies (at least the more unorthodox ones).

An emirate is like a monarchy, and while its similar to caliphate in the way it is setup, it significantly differs in the fact that an amir only has power over his emirate and anyone can be an amir. A Caliph, on the other hand, has authority over every Muslim person and all Muslim lands, and there are conditions to becoming caliph (mainly being from the tribe of Quraysh, but you also need to have support from the masses, gained through a Muslim taking the bayah, or pledge of allegiance) TL;DR VERSION: Caliph rules over all amirs and their lands.
