Another good reason for Snap Trap being Grass Type involves Galarian Stunfisk's Ability that changes its type based on the terrain. So in Grassy Terrain, for example, a perfect location to hide a trap within a grassy overgrow where you wouldn't be able to see it, the now Grass Type Stunfisk would be using its signature move with STAB to its full advantage, as, you yourself have clarified that not every steel type is literally made of steel, Galarian Stunfisk's trap teeth are clearly just as hard as steel, but more akin to horns, thorns, teeth, claws, or other possible sharp animal protrusions, and being charged with all sorts of magical Grass Energy it draws the full power from being Grass Type.

Actually, petals and flowers are modified leaves. Plants do that to attract insects and have them impollinate other flowers. Is super cool especially when talking about sunflowers, since the dark part on the inside are actually tiny flowers, while the "petals" are just modified flowers to make the plant look beautiful and, again, attract insects. I'd love to see a sunflower pokemon made by little plant entities making the flower :)

Petal Dance seems to have 2 interpretations depending on if it's the games or the anime: Games (the user gets confused) - The user is dancing and spinning around in order to launch the petals so after doing that for so many turns they get dizzy and confused. Anime (the Pokemon hit by the attack often gets confused, never the user) - It seems like they are going for the fact that all the petals swirling around makes the target confused.
