If you watch The Flash, you will know that Barry Allen/Flash was raised by a same man Joe West when both Barry Allen and Iris West were kids. Barry Allen was the one who got adopted when his father got arrested so Joe West took him in. Long story short, Barry Allen and Iris West became a couple and eventually got married and have kids. That is another example of a story that people who aren't blood related but was raised together by a same person can start out living like siblings but fall in love with each other in a long run.

What makes someone a sibling isnt just about blood relationships,but how youve related with them,how you perceive them and how you feel about them. As such making this a very weird and cringe plot. Its like teying to satisfy some fetish. Be it adopted or not,once you view someone as a sibling,any romantic thoughts about them is not humanly sane.

Yeah. Blood is not why people find incest strange. It's why incest is considered ethically and legally wrong but it's not why people find it morally icky. (In fact there's a very weird genetic thing where if you are separated from siblings or parents at birth, you're very likely to find them attractive if you meet later in life.) Growing up together under the same household is supposed to have the reverse effect, regardless of blood. There's something deeply wrong with people attracted to adopted siblings, especially if they didn't even know they were adopted until they were 18.

If you compare that to watching The Flash, the main character Barry Allen knew he was adopted to a West family so therefore, the West family would not give him the family title brother. So Barry Allen got adopted when he was 10 so therefore, he knew very well he would not call his guardian dad. So it is possible that this girl may of been adopted like around 5 years old so she would not be aware of the adoption and would be forced to believe she lives with her brother. She had been lied to when she was adopted. If she knew earlier, she would not be calling her guardian mom or dad.

Other people can be adopted but won't use the sibling title. As for her, she is adopted and forced to use the sister title. I know when The Flash/Barry Allen got adopted into a West family, Barry Allen would not be forced to use the brother title. So for this movie, that brother can take advantage that he does not share a same mother nor same father as his adopted sister. Plus his adopted sister is not even his real sister to begin with. Don't know why she needs to be forced to use a sibling titles to begin with.
