"Pau" means "Peace" in catalan. It is a common name in Catalonia, but for the parents to call a son "Pau", I've always thought it's something special, as it really shows their principles and values. Without any doubt, Pau really carries on thouse good values in life.
@JulioLeonFandinho
@JulioLeonFandinho 9 ай бұрын
Pau is the equivalent in catalan to the spanish Pablo or the english Paul, it means small or humble. Whatever you're rambling about it applies to women, Pau being in that case the equivalent to the spanish Paz
@ManuLH-bh6se
@ManuLH-bh6se 9 ай бұрын
@@JulioLeonFandinho Yes, that's what you get if you Google the meaning of Pau, but the word "pau" in Catalan means "peace" and many people choose it for that reason. At school in Catalonia, when someone named Pau does something violent, the joke always comes out: "Well, with that name, anyone would say...". The same as if you search for "Leo" in Google it will tell you that the meaning is lion and blablabla..., when the only truth is that the parents liked Messi.
@JulioLeonFandinho
@JulioLeonFandinho 9 ай бұрын
@@ManuLH-bh6se are you retarded? 🤦 Pau, as a name, applied to a man, is the equivalent of PABLO. It's not PAZ, because Paz is a name for women. You're not distinguishing the name Pau from the NOUN Pau. Stop being a pedantic moron, go back to school and learn grammar

So keeping with Dirk's spirit, here goes. Dirk I'm a 41 year old Basketball fanatic, from a 3rd world country, who worked his butt off in basketball but never made it "big". But you Dirk, inspired me to *never* accept my position as the underdog, you taught me to face adversity and challenges head on, you taught me to make the best of the very limited resources I may have and most of all, to always appreciate the people that got you there.
