Kids today will probably never understand what a baller Tony Parker was. As a lakers fan in the 2000s I hated this dude cuz he was always killing us, but I have nothing but the utmost respect for him and the entire spurs dynasty. What an incredible rivalry.

The one thing I will say, it's very very nice that Gregg Poppovich is still here with us and was able to see Tim Duncan, Manu Ginoboli, and Tony Parker all retire and enter the Hall Of Fame. His Big 3 that brought him multiple titles and he gets to see them be bestowed the greatest honor in basketball.

Tony Parker is one of the most underrated PGs in NBA history. I truly believe if Tony played for another team instead of the Spurs, he'd be the leader and 1st option, had better stats and more All-star appearances, and would probably be recognized as a top 10 PG in NBA history. But he chose to instead play for the Spurs for the most of his career, a team where sacrifice and team play are prioritized over individual play, especially as the main PG of the team. Not a lot of players would be willing to be in this role for almost his entire career, but Tony fitted this role perfectly and helped us won 4 championships. For that, he will forever be a Spurs legend and one of the greatest PGs to ever play this game. Thank you TP9!

He's already a top 10 PG but I hear you. Given their own team both him and Manu would be top 5 players at their position. With less rings though lol.

Been a real nice run down memory lane over the last few years with the Hall as a Spurs fan. I moved to San Antonio in 2003 from Florida and was amazed to find out that I could watch a Spurs game live for like $12. They were right down the road and I was a hoops junkie, so watching them was a no brainer. I knew Tim was great, but I went to all the big games, and he was just better than everyone else. Which is why he won MVP. Didn't know anything about Tony, but it was clear he could ball and that sweet little floater in the lane was unstoppable. OG David Robinson and this young buck Manu, who I had watched in a national game and had my eye on. He had this crazy way of attacking the paint(euro step) and was so exciting to watch. Even good old Steve Kerr hitting 3's when it mattered most. Truly magical season I'll never forget. Congratulations Tony, you deserve it! Go Spurs Go!
