You're not viewing it as any film is intended to be viewed - and yes LOTRs fans need to shut up when new people watch the films! Myself included lol 😆
@williamfields7287 Жыл бұрын
These are Long movies. It's not always easy to stay awake during Long movies. It has nothing to do with being able to stay focused or not, or if you're messing with your phone or not.

@@williamfields7287 But all the hate she got was because of the smartphone. I think people wouldn't be so tough on her if she fall asleep or say that the movie was boring (or at least I hope so). @Charlene-1988 Жыл бұрын
@William Fields I would respectfully disagree, if the film is well made (objectively speaking) and compelling then it does depend on the person's ability to start focused and not have a magpie tendency. If you're so used to content all the time on your mobile then you're more likely to be drawn to it to get the dopamine hit rather than stick to one thing (when you're offered several dopamine hits instead). I don't blame this generation, they can't help it when they've been raised on this kind of instant hits of multiple different things and not focusing on one thing for any length of time. 🤷🏻♀️ it is what it is but it's one of the reasons they can't stay focused on an objectively good film no matter the length. But then again some people just don't click with fantasy and that's fine too 🙂

The one i always bring up is Boromir: Boromir is portrayed as being kind of a jerk and a weak person who is easily corrupted in the movie but in the books he's an extremely kind,brave and selfless person. His weakness was his pride and love for his people which is normally a strength of his but the ring used it as a foothold to corrupt him. The point wasn't supposed to be that Boromir was a bad person or weak but the opposite. The fall of Boromir was supposed to be a way to showcase how unbelievably powerful and dangerous the ring was and how even a man as strong,noble and pure hearted as Boromir could be corrupted by it. Once you understand that it really changes the way you look at Faramir. When Faramir finds out that the ring drove a Boromir mad it must have been absolutely bone chilling for him. Imagine how disturbing it would be to find out that the person you trust and respect the most,the most courageous and selfless person you know was somehow reduced to a thief and traitor because of this evil object. And don't even get me started on Isildur!

Dude this is so relatable, because my family always watch lord of the ring before Christmas, and every single year my dad does this every time we get to one of these scenes.😂😂

I had the urge to immediately type that Viggo broke his toe in that scene. It is impulsive.

Whatever you do, don't watch The Princess Bride in theaters. You'll never hear the actual movie, just the entire audience quoting every single line.

My favorite factoid is the flute flourish when Frodo runs down the hill that is frolicking and out of time, but syncs up with Gandalf’s strings as the two appear on camera together for the first time.

@@jonahkolell one thing that is killing me is how in the latest volume... Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler The writer kept Zesshi in the dark about the gender of her assailant. Even after she was captured! We never got to see her beg and make Ainz squirm in embarrassment. I'm hoping Maruyama includes at least a reference to it in the next volume I also was waiting for a doujin for imp princess with Climb, but i got over pornography before it came out, so now i have to never read it even though it's there. Good thing i have the temple to give me something to stay clean for. ...Anyways i also feel bad about how the cut out Phillip's immense stupidity.
@jonahkolell Жыл бұрын
@Noskal Borg it seems like the writer is trying to finish up the series in 2 books and could be the soonest. The elf king got swift justice, I really didn't expect what happened to him. I felt so hyped up like the elf king was a true scourge and was going to be a pain to clean up, but he got killed in epic pvp at least. The thing that made me think the rest is going to be quick is how the elves had no one else that would be a pain for bone daddy. Only loose ends were tied up.
@noskalborg723 Жыл бұрын
@@jonahkolell yeah. I do admit i was looking forward to confusion from Ainz and the twins as Zesshi begs for what she wants from one who could defeat her. If she ever once realized that Mare was male... She would be struggling to move for different reasons. I also love how they depicted Mare's stone cold fight style from Zesshi's perspective.

@Noskal Borg yes hearing the fight from the other side was so refreshing and cool! Especially when "the goal of all life is death" failed! The surprise! That was probably the best part. I reread it right away!

I have to admit, providing a running commentary during a movie is something I excel at. Especially if said movie is based off a book I've read. I drove my sister and my dad nuts when we watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Harry Potter series.
