I've put thousands upon thousands of hours into SV and I never even knew the Living Hat existed! Also didn't know the alien scarecrow can wear hats - it's so cool that after all these years there's still new things to learn about this game.

THANK YOU for making this!! I love seeing all the hats, especially the turn arounds!! We see our character at many angles, so its nice to see how each hat would actually look!! I would love another one of these with all the clothing items, I know thats a LOT of work tho 😂

Cool and very helpful guide, thanks!! My favourite hat is the living hat. Didn't know it existed. Got it when trying out the beach farm for the first time and I was cutting weeds to make room for crops. Also I always get the cone hat for my horse. Makes it easier to find it in the grass areas cause the hat sticks out.

@@Wickedy it's a little hard to spell out exactly how the original word is bastardized hehehe. South and Mouth are pronounced slightly differently. Say south like mouth and you've pretty well got it.

Excellent hat and mask guide! 🥰 My favorites are the straw hat and bluebird mask, but I also love the tiger slime hat, the frog, and the squire helmet. Sharky mentioned that there will eventually be a small 1.6 update, and I hope it includes being able to access all furniture and decorative items in the catalog bought from Robin. After this video, I hope all the hats are available from the hat mouse, and earlier in the game. Edit: The one I don't think I'd heard of was Emily's magic hat.

Another brilliant video ! I'm often too restless for streams, but dearly love & appreciate your "one-off" videos (Must have been a lot of work to put in all those time-stamps.) I always go gangbusters for Polyculture to get the Cowpoke hat. It seems to go best with my usual outfits (esp a bandana shirt). Otherwise, my Luke (or "Muggins" - or worse) prowls Skull Cavern after the illusive Dark Cowboy hat... until I just cheat one, that is ! Thanks again & many Cheers

Thank you for this, especially the different in game views! With the Market Mod one can buy some Hats that one would look around for ages for. Not sure it actually counts as getting the Hat if it isn't in Vanilla, but I am ok with that. Garbage Can Lid always shows up, usually several times a playthrough, but I don't think I have seen Living Hat or Mushroom Hat or Tiger Hat... "Random" doesn't like me.

One thing you can do if reset the day if you chop your trees down and don't get the cap. Exit to the menu and try again, or try again on another day! It's random.

1.6 I guess added leprechaun hat, I got it on spring 17, its raining, year 3, near the hat vendor in cindersap forest. Go right. Not sure many ppl have this yet but its really cool Not sure which of or if any of the rain, day season matter

I have 1800 hours in the game and have never found the Living Hat. I decided on my current playthrough that I was going to get every hat. I can't for the life of me get the Trash Can hat either. One playthrough I found 3 of them. Doubtful this will happen. lol
