@@dunchomc I don't think he properly knows what a racist is because calling the 2nd racist is far from the truth. The writers go into detail about what Tobirama"s feeling about the Uchiha meant during the 4th war. He explained to Sasuke how he felt about his clan after studying the brains and minds of deceased Uchiha shinobi. This told readers that who previously thought the 2nd hated the clan not true at all and Sasuke also knew this was not the case after listening too his response. Because he found out that he was right about the origins of the sharigan and how/why it activates leads to Sasuke's decision not to destroy the village. In all the 2nd isn't racist maybe the writer is a little weird in my book because of his heavy use of child soldiers in his story; nevertheless, my favorite manga/anime series of time.

Okay little theory here. Hashirama wasn't an idealist, just a gambler. He would risk decisions and gamble everything thus making him look like an idealist and tsunade inherited that. When naruto was told to stay in the village and hide by the elders, it was tsunade who allowed him to fight thus making a gamble. Same with tsunade's bet with jiraiya.

Has anybody noticed that they made naruto's whisker marks just part of his genetics, versus when they first introduced why he had whiskers on his cheeks it was because he was Jinchuriki. The idea was Jinchuriki gained certain marks related to their tailed beat, which is the reason why Gaara had dark circles around his eyes, but they I guess decided to bin that idea.
