I used to get triggered with ppl doing this. But now I understand why. If you save in the same slot every time and the game bugs out or randomly freezes and you saved it there's no way to reload into it without it happening again. I don't constantly save in a new slot but I back up save every few hours into the game. Sure might mean I have to repeat certain things as slot 1s save errored or corrupted but least I don't have to start from the very beginning.

The funniest part about this game, beyond the Banjo Kazooie news anchor, is that at the beginning there's a whole cutscene for the player to take a shower. But they don't take any clothes off beforehand, nor put any on after, implying that for the entirety of the game beforehand and afterwards the player is buck naked. Rewatch with this in mind

This game has a look to it that emulates old ps1 games so well that it genuinely forces some very powerful nostalgia / deja vu. I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is that it does right in comparison to other games that try to achieve the same effect, but it does it very, very well.

As soon as I saw the healthbar I thought about RE. I never expected it to go further than that, but this game seems like a love letter to other fans of the franchise.
