Beautiful job. I have sold so many of those over the years, and they still sell. They are from the late 40s to very early 50s. Canadian company with the Robertson screws. They were marketed to the returning military people who seen similar styles in Europe during WWII. The American style took off in the early to mid 50s and these stopped being made so much. So nice to see a full restoration to beautiful piece, great job. You are very skilled.

My grandmother had this very cabinet (if an old man’s memory serves-not a slam dunk, that) when I was a kid in the 1960’s. It disappeared after she passed. It’s kind of nice to think that it may have ended up in your shop somehow. Nice work, it goes without saying.

Oh my goodness you brought the old girl back to life!! The right way...Without her becoming a painted lady....LOL...I love these old china cabinets. I know they were massed produced but that's what makes them special to me. As a kid just about every house you went into had one. They were the special place where you would be shown by the owner their special treasures. Old family pictures in well worn frames, a collection of depression glass, little trinket boxes filled with coins or loved ones hair locks. Old musky books or a special china collection. They were always the special place...that held the special stuff. Just about everyone I can remember always had beautiful crocheted doilies on each shelf. I love these cabinets. To me they are very feminine piece of furniture. You did an amazing job on her. God bless 😊

Trena, I do remember a number of my family in Omaha having pieces like this or very similar. Their finest items or treasures were kept in them. China, Crystal, Silver polished like new and special dishware from Europe where many originated from. I also remember them being older in age and a bit more affluent before they were able to own such a piece. We children always didn't touch but would peak in the glass to see the treasures. My most fond memory was at Easter time they had the old large eggs cut out with crystals and adornments on them with little scenes inside of them. So ground and beautiful. Many from Europe as I said. Gorgeous work and absolutely breathtaking! Ty for sharing all you do with us. A memory of the past often and the treasures and creations of those times.........absolutely beautiful!

Hi Trenna! Just got back to watching yours & others KZbin videos, after not having my own cell phone, from early May up until about a week ago! Shared my fiancee's phone some during that time, but did not get to log on here, and do much viewing very often! Goodness! I really missed it a lot!! As a result, I went back & started with your video about the "debut" of your new Laser Cutter, as I'd left off on the video you posted, where many things went wrong. Anyway, I first want to say, that I REALLY LIKED your new intro! Now I can't wait to view the next vid, & see if you kept it! Hope so!! 🙂 Second of all, I want to say that I REALLY LIKED your work in restoring this China Cabinet! GREAT JOB AS ALWAYS!!! 🙂 A Great Aunt of mine had, (and probably still has), a China Cabinet that is nearly identical to this one. My Mom has a photo of herself, that my Great-Aunt took of her standing in front of that China Cabinet. It was taken in the Dining Room of my Great Aunt & Uncle's farmhouse, just outside of Frederick, Maryland. It was taken back about 1962, when my Mom was just 14 years old, & she still has that photo in one of her albums, back at she and my Dad's home in West Virginia. I kind of wish I lived closer now, so that I could go to their place, & get that album out & look at that photo, so that I could see if that China Cabinet is as identical as I recall, to the one you restored here. 🙂 Take Care, & Continued Success With Future Restorations! Highest Respects Always! Ron H. Abilene, TX.
