As others have pointed out, the animation is different for the Deep Cut depending on whether you've beaten the story mode. With OtH you have to reconfigure Eight's pallette and also be playing as an Octoling to see their alternate animation.

If any wonders, In Splatoon 1 the squid sisters animation where they see you in the window is different. For Sp3 they changed their animation.
