I think I have a theory about this. I noticed something while rewatching Luffy gear five moment and I noticed his haki made a string like sound, meaning the rope joy boy gave emet may have been haki converted to string and then woven together and also follows the technique as shown in the sky Island making the rope a combination of a lot of haki string which can only be made by someone who has eaten the gum gum fruit. Some may disagree with this but I think Luffy grabbing a thunder significantly means he can grab haki like a rubber in his gear 5 form.

Just a random thought that popped in my mind. What if the appearance of IMU is actually Nefertari D. Lily and IMU is the alter-ego that has taken over the body completely? Something like Cavendish and Hakuba but in this case, what if Hakuba(IMU) fully taken over the body of Cavendish (Nefertari D. Lily) ? That could be the reason why Lily never returned to Arabasta and managed to send out her last thought into a letter to Arabasta before losing full control of the body to IMU. “Egghead has been the most detailed arc..” Yes… the arc that skipped an entire sequence that somehow involved: Vegapunk being found, Robin being injured, and CP0 and the Seraphim getting defeated and detained.. Also, the BB pirates showed up to touch a Goresei for no reason other than plot convenience. The lore dumps have been nice, but to pretend that Egghead isn’t the most hamfisted arc is being either disingenuous or caught up in the moment.
