This is my MRE. It has calorie-replenishing capabilities. We use this when you start to feel a slight discomfort in your stomach, usually a notification that your body needs to ingest sustainace in order to stay combat effective.

​​@@blueteopadsnice5486when personal from special operations units are stateside which means they are in the states for training, etc, there faces aren't normally blurred as there is nothing to hide. There is no OPSEC being broken since it's stateside. This only applies to tier 2 units of USSOCOM as any Tier 1 unit is obviously blurred (most the time) but even then they aren't blurred ethier. The whole face blur thing is yes to protect their identity and also have a level of OPSEC for that personnel. And ts not essentially needed on the states as there is no actual active threat. Not saying this happens all the time but it's pretty common. Especially if that said operater wanted to appear on Media, they do have a option to protect their identity so it also goes as choice as well. Hope I explained it well best to my ability

I work as a mechanic for afsoc, and even in our community our command, leadership, etc all call us air commandos too, but everyone knows that it would be wayyyy out of place to go along with that LMAO, the real air commandos are the guys in STS's (PJ's, CCT's, SW-TACP's, and SR)

Here I thought I carried a lot on a submarine. Normally I had a flashlight and a knife clipped onto my belt for everyday use. Sometimes, the mission would call for a larger load out, so I would also attach a multi-tool. That would be my standard load outs for out at sea and normal in-port workdays.

For everyone bashing USAF Security Forces please keep going because a lot of it is true, it is a very broad career field that not till recently has had leadership that wants change and is empowering those who can bring it. I have seen both sides, the cannon fodder who are being used to just fill a body at a gate, and the other end having the humbling opportunity to work with these guys specifically. Also for those that don't know Security Forces primary mission isn't law enforcement, but Air Base Ground Defense (that doesn't mean base security but ground combat operations that impact asset security), so no we are not MPs. Now I would agree the Marines and Army are far better at this than we are as a whole and our capabilities have been hindered for a very long time due to how the USAF has ran us. Security Forces is huge mixed bag and agree you can't call us on the whole "good", but throwing every defender into the trash does nothing but show your ignorance and ego. So if your the hot shot then why not try to make your fellow Americans better, heck units who many of you idolize are rooting for these dudes?

To be clear, the difference between the AN/PRC-152 and the AN/PRC-152A is not the inclusion of a GPS. The AN/PRC-152(V)2(C) already had integrated GPS. The AN/PRC-152A has different SATCOM waveforms and ANW2C, it's basically the internals of an AN/PRC-117G with lower transmit power and battery life.

This is what we called Gucci Gear in the war when I was attached to 4th Infantry Division in Eastern Afghanistan. The more experienced guys I was with on missions rarely carried more than necessary. You find out what you need in those first few mission and feedback from the more experienced guys who been down range a few times. First combat patrol I did I easily carried 140lbs after a few missions I easily shed 50 pounds. Mostly focusing on Ammo, medic kit, and functional gear I.e. multi tools not pads

Former SF( Security Forces) member here. I dont know when we started getting called air commandos lol but hey let's roll with it I guess. DAGRE is a cool part of the career field. They have a very specific mission which is actually pretty legit. I didnt know we used MK18s though so that's pretty cool. The kit is standard for moat Security forces Squadrons. I feel bad for this kid because he's getting skull dragged on social media but he's a good sport about it. He probably drew the short stick. But the bashing of Security forces and Army MPs is wild because unless you're apart of the career field you don't really know what we do. Best thing about the career field though is that you get exposed to or get to work with literally every career field in the US Military.

Y'all realize that they aren't "Air Commandos" meaning Special Operations. DAGRE is just a school you go to in Security Forces and then you can get assigned to do missions with that training done. There are a lot of different schools you can do in Securities Forces however it should not be confused with actual Special Operations guys who have a totally different pipeline and training involved. It's a night and day difference seeing what you'd be doing if you were at Lackland or at Lackland right now watching the PJs/CCTs/TACP carrying the logs right by you or carrying the stones by Chow Hall over by Medina. To be honest, it's a joke of the training you go through and all you have to do is not fail your PT tests and pass the info that they give you to read. Oh and if you are currently SecFo, hope you get Minot because people say it sucks but it is the most chill assignment out there where you do nothing, play video games, do college courses, call your girl/family often, or day trade out there. My last Sergeant made a million-day trading for the last 3 years being there and you probably won't ever get that sort of downtown due to "how depressing" it is over there.

Very nice kit here, I spy gear from some of the best North American tactical gear makers like Spiritus, Ferro, HSGI, and Crye. Probably some other brands as well. Looks similar to lot of other setups shown on KZbin which means the soldier is up to date with what's out there and cares about investing in his gear and making it work for him. 15 sounds more like Phoenix Raven (18 last I knew but whatever). DAGRE is longer. Not like CCT or PJ long, but longer than Raven. At some point it's not really about that, though. RASP and DAGRE are essentially the same length, but their output and units are very different because the jobs are very different.
