I Have A Somewhat Bad Memory About This Film. My Family Had A Furnished Basement, & We Had TV With A VHS Player. My Brother Had Got A VHS Of Jurassic Park 3 From Our Local Blockbuster, & He Had Gone Down To The Basement To Watch It. I love telling this story: I was in 5th grade reading a gaming magazine and the featured article was about Operation Genesis Jurassic Park and I went home that day thinking nothing of it and sure enough my Mom comes home with an EB Games bag with a PS2, memory card and Operation Genesis. This was in the mid to late 2000s, and years later I still have that PS2 and Copy of JPOG.

Danger Zone was indeed a lot of fun and even a little scary in some mini games, like when you have to run past the T-Rex without being seen or he'll try to eat you, there's another game where you and the other play (or CPU) have to work together to power up a laser fence to keep a velociraptor out before it gets too close and attacks. Lots of fun memories, I used to play it with my dad back in the day.

I am fortunate enough to live near a retro gaming bar that actually has the Jurassic Park III arcade game. It’s one of my top picks at that location, and I can confirm that it’s the best Jurassic Park III game, which is sad considering all the stuff we did get on home platforms was mediocre at best. I really hope that it can be emulated in the future, as I really want to experience this game at home. For now, I feel good knowing that I’ve been able to play the Jurassic Park III arcade game.

15:40 About that... What script? They didn't have one. That's why the JP/// games were so all over the place. Hell, the Konami games show off the different scripts in action: the arcade has US agents rescue reseachers on the behalf of Alan Grant, DNA Factor has random civilians crash land and discover the secrets of the DNA, and the Island Attack has Alan Grant crash landing and needing to be saved by the Coast Guard. The last one was the proto shooting script, even including the raptor motorcycle chase.

I agree, the talking raptor is blown way out of proportion. Danger Zone and Scan Command were two of my favorite games as a kid, and I hate that I can't actually play Scan Command without building a retro gaming PC to play it because either it's actually impossible to pass through a serial connection to a virtual machine or at least I can't figure out how to do it. (I also can't figure out how to pass through sound from my VM to my speakers). Funny thing is, I got The Lost World: Chaos Island to run on my Windows 10 pc just fine, but none of the JP3 games will run on anything other than a VM running XP. I haven't played Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure in over a decade, but I don't remember hating it that much, I liked playing it. I have Dino Defender, but I never got that far in the game and I've held off on playing it until I figure out this whole VM thing and get sound working. Never heard of Dino Battles or Operation Genesis until this video nor the Pokedex I mean Dino Dex, and I didn't get a GBA until several years after JP3 came out.

I've played that Jurassic Park 3 Arcade Shooter a few times. The Dave & Busters about half an hour away from my house has it. It's pretty fun. It plays essentially like any other First Person Light-Gun On-Rails Shooter, like Time Crisis or House of the Dead and so on.

I have been waiting for this since I was a Padawan and my Jedi master told me “one day, MIB will be making videos on Jurassic Park”. Glad to see this video. 12:37 ah my favorite arcade game… I didn’t go to many arcades. I had so many memories of going to Shakey’s pizza parlor and playing this game, it was so fun. Honestly MIB, you missed out on this game, as it can’t be found. Unfortunately my local Shakey’s took it away, never knew what happened to it but I can never go back to that particular Shakey’s. NEVER! That’s it. That’s my story. Here’s hoping this game gets re-released on home consoles someday.

The JP3 games were a big part of my childhood (specifically the PC ones). All of them were great and have a lot of fun memories from playing them with friends and family. Also after 23 years my Scanner from Scan Command still works, lol.

13:06 Got to play it at a roller ring back as a kid, from what I remember the game was really solid. I've been trying to see if any of the cabinets exist market wise but its hard to track down from what I've seen. Usually its questionable if working parts and this one guy selling an arcade ad for the game ( if they still have it, I've stopped hunting for it for about 2ish years mostly cause as fun as it would be to own one, I don't have a massive cabinet budget for something like that)

I played the GBA Park Builder game pretty extensively when it came out. It was a more basic version of Theme Park but fun enough for a handheld game, especially since Theme Park wouldn't be handheld until the Nintendo DS. I've heard Operation Genesis is good but I've never had a chance to play it. Looking forward to a "the rest of the games" video of Jurassic Park. Trespasser honestly deserves its own video.

The FPS arcade one was actually a good time with a friend and there are few malls around Johannesburg that have it, the sound on the machine is amazing! The seat would shake and the dinosaur animations were amazing to...and I'm sure there is a video or maybe taken down, I watched the bossfights for that game in KZbin.

The main reason they tried to replace the T-Rex with the Spinosaurus in JP3 was because of at the time new scientific discoveries that suggested that the T-Rex may have been more of a cowardly scavenger than a fierce predator. The team making the movie wanted to display these discoveries in the film. Thinking the T-Rex could no longer be the face of the franchise because of these discoveries and thought they needed a new face. A paleontology consultant suggested the Spinnosaururs and the film went with that. But of course, there is no replacing the T-Rex as the coolest dinosaur ever despite whatever the science says.

Operation Genesis was my all time favorite game growing up 🙌 I mean before we had JW Evolution 1&2 we had this, and arguably I’d say it’s a lot better regarding certain aspects. For starters, you can build the island of your park whatever size you want it, plus now a days, there are so many mods for this game it’s crazy and awesome. Definitely recommend it for all my nostalgia peeps and those that have never heard of this game and want to play it!!👍🦖

JPOG, one of the best JP games ever- great dinosaurs, awesome soundtrack, countless mods, and memories for people in the early days of KZbin. I only wish I could've played it. Oh well I got Zoo Tycoon 2 where I can have extant animals, extinct animals, and animals that are nonexistent. Now off to build a zoo that combines Dinosaurs and Dannybob's monsters.

Dino defender was surprisingly good. It was the only Jurassic game my brothers and I played as a kid. We did have to make fun of the intro for saying that 60mph winds knocked out the power and that was why you had to turn breakers back on. Mostly cause it was ridiculously low wind speed to do that

Everyone says the arcade game was super rare, but down here in central Texas they were all over the place. Even now I can tell you where 2 of them are. I will say it’s definitely the most skill based out of all the arcade games. If you’re good enough, you can get through the whole game on a single credit without taking damage.

I played the Jurassic Park III arcade game twice. Once at a restaurant where it was at the final boss, and another time at Pixeled Brews in Fargo ND, where I played from the beginning. Not as good as the Lost World game. Also had this weird gimmick where in certain sections (mostly boss fights) you can move to different spots. I remember it made the final boss super easy, as you can just circle behind it, shoot, repeat.

Actually, here’s a funny thing about the Jurassic Park 3 arcade game. I actually found it while I was at a gambling Casino for New Years Eve with my family. Don’t get too excited we didn’t actually gamble we just ate and explored the places. Meanwhile me, who was dealing with so much Asthma and forgot my inhaler, was having breathing issues the whole time
