If all the official Inika sets looked more like that Nuparu revamp, with more design elements from their Matoran forms instead of weird unrecognisable rubber-faced guys, they'd probably be among my favourite Toa's instead of my least favourite.

I do like that the Hahli figure looks like her Mahri figure, as well as Nuparu too. And I do love Kongu massive size too.

Dude, Nuparu is definitely the best of the group. Matoro is also great, to. Strongu Kongu is also pretty good, maybe a bit overkill, but the overall product looks pretty good.

I'm probably in the minority when I say I like how ugly the masks were. Given the setting of Voya Nui and them facing off against the Piraka, I liked how intense they looked. Hahli definitely could have done with a more streamline mask, though. The breathing tube aesthetic definitely had her looking like she got a mustache

I totally agree with you. They faced the Pirrahkas, dudes with massive beastly grimaces. It was a gritty cyber-overgrowth concept. Mechanics merged with creature. This expressed even more in the creeps from the deep.
