I want to make somewhat of a counter argument to crocodiles devil fruit because while it is true that it has the most common basic weaknesses of any other logia fruit it also has the ability to greatly reduce the threat of that weakness thanks to its ability to dry things out and absorb water. Going back to the person with a lot of sweat that doesn't matter a lot because one good hit from crocodiles devil fruit could dry out all the pores in that person's body and reduce them to a mummified state.

I guess Gastino's (a.k.a. CC) is one of the best logia fruits in OP, but he's not a fighter so he doesn't use it to master his fight techniques, but his scientific techniques. He could freeze or kill someone just making them inhale some poison gas. Actually, what some haki user could do against him? Every being in OP needs to breath and haki doesn't protect inside you. This could be one of the best fruits because it's hard to fight against it.

I find it funny how you cant just rank a power like devil fruits because we only see how each power can be useful through its users, there could be an argument on how one fruit could be more powerful than another one but we could never truly find out because some of these fruits either have been shown their full potential or their full potential is locked behind its user, Smoker could easily use his fruit to suffocate his appoint to the point where they cant breath like Caesar can but he wouldn't do something like that because that's not the kind of person Smoker is, a lot of 'what if' powers are left up to the imagination and it could always be shown how a week looking devil fruit could be made more useful in this story later on, this is really shown for when 2 new ranks had to be added for fruits that couldn't really be ranked like the rest of them GLR keep up the amazing content, you're always a joy to watch for whether when you are or are not in a room

If you fought crocodile while it was pouring rain , he would be tangible right ? You’d be able to touch him without haki because he’s being constantly hit by his natural counter (water, the rain drops). So the darkness fruit essentially turns it it’s user into “Crocodile in the rain” . The direct opposite/counter of darkness is light .. its safe to assume Blackbeard is always tangible because SOME form of light is always hitting him . If we can physically SEE Blackbeard with our eyes , that means light (his natural counter) is touching & reflecting off of him . So the only time Blackbeard would be intangible like other logia’s would be in a pitch black space or room (like under the curtain he threw over white beard )

In case of the suna suna no mi you're really underestimating the offensive potential of the fruit, be it sandstorms that can blow away the likes of jozu, sandswords coming out of the ground or especially his ability to dry out virtually everything. The Water aspect is a weakness for sure, but with armament haki beeing prevelent in virtually every character, allowing every logia user to be hit, the suna suna no mi is at least at the top of B, probably even in theA category.

When Ace used fireflies he was already diving into the "light" side of fire and honestly it was very impressive because most other logia users just use there power without diving into other concepts or abilities. I’d say that the Snow snow fruit should be on par or even higher than the Flame flame fruit counterpart. It should be better or higher because it can grant a territorial advantage compared to raw fire power. One way would be to create a blizzard so strong that you can barely see 5 feet in front of you and proceed to blend in and weave in and out of the falling snow to pick apart opponents. In addition to that, attacks and the created environment would generate a good amount of cold and inflict freezing effect which cause you to bring generally unfamiliar armor or clothing or else deal with the dangerous weather and consequences. The vast amount of utility and Aoe status effect spawned from the created territory is why the the snow snow fruit should be A tier or even S tier

The Smoke-Smoke Fruit is often ranked low because of how Smoker uses it on a Surface Level, he doesn't use it more creatively because he uses his fruit to complement his fighting style with his Jitte. This is in contrast to the majority of other Logia users who rely on their Devil Fruit for their main method of combat. It definitely has alot more potential, so it's worthy at being in at least B tier. Caesar is definitely not the best user of the Fruit lets be real here. He may be a scientist and thus can use the Gas from his fruit more effectively yes, but the issues is that A. He's not a fighter, so he doesn't have refined fighting techniques and B. His personality holds him back on using his Fruit. Oda knew how absurdly strong this Devil Fruit would be, so he gave it to an idiotic user. If Caesar used his fruit better, he wouldn't have needed to rely on external tools to do his attacks. You could defeat your opponents from melting them from the inside by using sulfuric acid suspension. You don't need to just rely on taking Oxygen away to defeat your enemies.

I've always argued that Smoker's fruit could be great if he were willing to use it in a fucked up way. The rain fatal for him he will lost his intangibility & can't transform/control the sand, basically turn off his whole DF ability. For example Luffy, Smoker, Dragon weren't affected by the rain to their DF at Loguetown. Also Luffy still can use his DF on limited use under the water (arlong fight & fishman island).

Great list. Only thing I would change is to put ice fruit whatever tier magma is. Combat abilities notwithstanding, their users basically fought to a draw even though magma is hotter than ice is cold. ice is also more useful outside of combat

Well is Kizaru really the "light light" fruit users, or the Glint Glint user? I mean whenever he uses an attack, the signature glint or "lense glare" appears almost every time. in comparison to the light fruit lightning is definitely more potent and destructive and he's even able to travel through lightning conductors like metal and wood and he can even hear people across an entire island by sensing electro magnetic waves. So I have a theory about the Nika fruit. The Nika fruit didn't exist until Roger made it to laugh tale, and Roger saying that he wished he could live in Joyboy's time actually ended up creating the Nika fruit. Since the fruits are made from the dreams and wishes of others, it makes sense. Plus that would explain why Luffy has Roger's personality and will as well. Just a thought

I have a therory about the yami yami no mi because the natural weekness to darkness is light and as we have only every see blackbeard use its power in day light would the yami yami no mi allow the user to become intangible when they are in complete darkness e.g. when blackbeard went under that tarp and gained the gura gura no mi from whitebeard.

I think the reason why he can’t broke darkness is because it’s more of just a concept. It’s a void and just the absence of something, so becoming the absence of something doesn’t really make sense, you’d literally be becoming nothing.

cecers fruit is probibly actualy one of the strongest, at least in my opinion. cecer mainly used it for scince rather than combat. think of using fishman karate but like with air or removing the oxagen from someones loungs then stabbing them with a haki infused knife.
