Every Luigi Appearance in Every Mario Game

Hey guys welcome to to days video where Im going to go over every single time Luigi has appeared across every single game in the mainline Super Mario Bros franchise! Also in Super Mario 3D World, if you have a save file from New Super Luigi U on your Wii U, a Luigi icon will be in the bottom left of Mario 3D World's title screen and when you click it you can play a game called "Luigi Bros." which is just the classic Mario Bros. Arcade game but with Luigi as the playable character.

I think it's worth mentioning that Luigi is the dealer for the Poker mini-game that's included in Super Mario 64 DS and/or New Super Mario bros. Both games had some mini games, but I can't remember which had Poker or if it was one of the mini-games shared.

I always had a fondness for Luigi. I wonder if Nintendo of Japan took some influence from the American cartoons, since that was where Luigi was first depicted as something of a coward, yet the games didn't show him that way until Luigi's Mansion. As far as I know, anyway.

Uhh…yeah no, “L Is Real” is not at all what that text in the courtyard says at all, that’s still just a myth. If you look closely, you can make out the words “Eternal Star” much more legibly than “L Is Real” ever looked, and this has been all but confirmed. The fact that Luigi appears in the code for the game has absolutely nothing to do with the star inscription in the courtyard, and it’s kind of disappointing that you’d lead anyone to believe that this fan theory holds any weight. Just think about it for a second, why would they leave a cryptic hint in the final game (that it took years and years for anyone to “decide”) for something that was just beta testing material? It doesn’t make any sense. Not to mention that “L Is Real” implies that people even held the theory that Luigi was in the game in the first place, which the game does nothing to blatantly imply. “Eternal Star” makes infinitely more sense, both *logically* (it’s inscribed onto a star statue, duh) and *legibily* (seriously, look at the statue and compare “L Is Real” and “Eternal Star.”) There’s no comparison, it’s always just been a silly rumor that really doesn’t deserve to be documented as a “fact.”

Hahahah I loved that note suddenly about NSMB2. It is clear it is your least favorite😇🙈. Hahahah And I agree. And also I felt it feeling like work to keep trying to play the stages over and over just to get these coins. Not really a nice reason to keep playing the stages. I enjoyed the game. "L is real" was never officially confirmed as the message on that sign in SM64. Basically what happened was some kid in the late 90s squinted at his CRT TV and used his imagination to come up with some theory that it says "L is real" to mean that Luigi is playable. Then he booted up dial-up AOL (after his mom was done ordering CDs from the Home Shopping Network) and started spreading rumors in chat rooms about Luigi being playable in Super Mario 64. Those rumors spread like wildfire amongst preteen boys in the early era of the internet along with rumors that you can find Mew under a truck in Pokémon Red and Blue, that the Triforce is obtainable in Ocarina of Time, and that you can save Aerith in Final Fantasy VII. TL;DR: That sign does not actually say "L is real."

7:17 ESPECIALLY in the Underwater Cosmic Luigi Race. I hate that one! To this day, that is the only level of the game which I could not technically beat on my own. Secret: However... Shh... I was able to download some cheat codes which let me fly above the level and land - in order to help me get the star, so that I can say that I have all of the stars.

I think he was in a game and watch game slightly before the Mario Bros arcade game came out. Either way, his first appearance wasn't in super Mario Bros but instead in 1983 games
