The image of Her Majesty on the Silver Jubilee bottling cameo was designed by Arnold Machin. I believe this particular image hadn’t been used before.

I just realised I said Martin 🙈 #Fail I couldn't find any source that could verify it was an original commission for this bottle though. Do you think they just licensed one of his other images?.

@@MarkLittler Yes, that is correct. It wasn’t a commission specifically for this bottle. Arnold Machin in fact died in 1999. I believe it was a previously unused image for which the Machin Arts Foundation kindly allowed reproduction rights for this bottling.

Hi Mark, are you able to tell me how fluid or liquid is the secondary market for Macallan whisky that is bottled through independent bottlers versus those that are bottled directly by the distillery? For example, if a wealthy individual has a cask of Macallan whisky with an output of 200 bottles and they want sell about 100 bottles, how easy will it be for them to sell those bottles? My question specifically is how do potential buyers look at bottles coming from independent bottlers versus those directly from Macallan? How liquid is the market for bottles from independent bottlers? Appreciate your response!

Cotswold distillery have produced a bottle celebrating this but obviously they are not on a par with macallan!
