I love that of all the Pele stories and lore you chose one in which she interacts with Poli’ahu. While her escapades with Kamapua’a or her love and protection stories of her younger sister Hi’iaka are more prominent (especially in chant and hula), Pele’s rivalry with Poli’ahu, the goddess of snow and a perfect foil for the fiery and jealous fire and volcano diety, are always more intrinsically interesting to me. so interesting how cultures interpret fire! some see it as life giving and crucial for survivat (for example if fertility was also the gods domain) and some see it as a weapon or something to be feared (we see death mentioned alongside fire often) super cool!

Isn’t there some speculation in old Norse that Loki and Logi were the same? I thought Loki was called the Fire bringer or something like that?

As far as I understand it, Logi and Loki were two different entities, I think a lot of the confusion comes from Wagner's portrayal in his opera, Rheingold, where he kind of combined the two. I know that some people have said that one of Loki's kennings is 'luhþurar' (Fire Bringer) but I've never actually seen a source for that and it isn't one of the list of Kennings on the Skaldic Project but I'd love to hear other thoughts on this :)

I forgot about Hestia can’t believe it, I think she should be mentioned especially because she’s thee goddess of the hearth, sacred fire, and much more. Hephaestus is a good mention as well because his works with wielding etc.
