As someone who was addicted for 8 years stuck in the constant battle and cycle of falling, just want to say that trying harder to please God and not sin isn’t what saved me. I think a lot of us have great hearts and motivations and believe I even did, but it will always be a battle and struggle with that mindset. What transformed my life was seeing me how God saw me. I always identified myself as being a sinner even though I was saved and has a relationship with Jesus. 3 years ago I had an encounter with God where the reality of who he is and who he’s made me to be so hit my heart that porn just completely broke off my life. It’s been 3 years and it’s not even a remote struggle or challenge anymore. If you get alone with God and start viewing yourself as holy, blameless and above reproach in his sight because of the blood of Jesus, things will change and you won’t even have to bite your lip trying harder to not sin. When you wake up and know that God loves you not because of your own efforts but simply because Jesus died for you, it will change your life. You don’t do something to be Gods son. You are a son, and when that hits your heart, living righteously will be a byproduct.

Hey guys, I'm a geneticist. I've been on this journey since 2016 and thanks to the Lord gained ton of knowledge on this topic through experience, studies, discipline and experimentation. I've been more than 6 months retaining and not relapsing even through dreams. If anyone is suffering with Lust and don't know how to overcome it. First you need to understand you have to set up systems in places to fight your flesh and resist. Second you have to be a MAN and LET GO of what you need let go. Third you need START doing what you HAVE TO DO and not procrastinate anymore. An idle mind or idle state makes you weak and you are an easy target to the Devil. Also INTERMITTENT FASTING is a MUST + Worship music at least 2 times a day so your subconscious is resonating with the Lord. I have set up systems in place both in iOS/Mac/Android/Windows to the point of where accessing to any kind of lustful content or p0rn is simply not possible. Also your entire house is protected once your set this up, so any device that connects will not be able to access this kind of content. So anyone interested feel free to comment down below. You can become a true WARRIOR in Christ if you are willing to.

I can't tell you ENOUGH how spot on you are. Satan has been trying very hard to get me to do it. I was an everyday-er, 3 to 4 times. I was reawakened by the LORD. I used to want to stop in the past, not for Jesus (forgive me) but because of a noticeable difference in my abilities. When I'd retain for a week or even 3 days, I'd be (for lack of a better word) stronger, more in tune, my problems gone... So it would seem. The only way I've been able to combat this now, for almost a month. Is by the power of Jesus Christ. The last time I relapsed, I'd gone 3 weeks. Mind you, I was an everyday-er. 3 or 4 times a day. Yes!!! I love it!! I’m not a man but I’m so encouraged to see a strong man teaching this to other men. I’ve always wondered why I felt so strongly about stuff like this. Not watching porn, masterbating, lust, just gratifying the flesh in general etc. And then looking around and hearing/seeing all these men claim Christ and still doing all those things and making excuses for it. We NEED more strong, truly dedicated, picking up our cross daily men. We already have victory. God has given us everything we need! Busting a nut and going through the process of semen retention is something I feel I ca directly compare to drinking alcohol and going theough the process of sobriety. Both give you a temporary and fleeting euphoric feeling and once its gone, you feel drained and numb, with the only thing to make you feel better is that same buzz. However, I speak from 9 months of sobriety that once you push past that first month (40 days) I promise it gets so much easier and feels so much more normal to not be doing these things. In the case of semen retention, you start to view the world the same way you once did as a child; the world just looks brighter. Even the Sun seems brighter because my perception has reverted back to what I woukd call "normal". To put it simply, I have gone from a Squidward to a Spongebob. 😅

Began my walk with God last year in the Fall. Holy Spirit put me on SR automatically. I had a couple months in before I even knew much about semen retention. Now I'm around 6-7 months and I can relate when you say you couldn't imagine living like that again. I would be devastated if I relapsed. Recently got radically set free from 🌽 and lust. I felt like I was at my lowest point and my mind had gone to dark places that made me feel like I was trapped in the lowest pit of death. (Psalm 18:4-6) But God did an incredible restorative work over me and has given me a burden to share my testimony and the love that Christ has for the Brothers that are struggling with lust. Going on what you were saying about sharing the Gospel, I have to admit that I am sometimes scared to evangelize and make disciples, so if there are any brothers in Christ who might have some tips or advice on how to overcome this and share the Gospel with strangers, please let me know and God bless!
