We just criticise the little mistakes ignoring the good work done by vfx artists. It's not about just marvel, it's about every franchise. Being a vfx artist is one of the hardest work in the digital world. And if you are thinking I am an artist myself, I am not. If we try to edit just one picture, it takes us a long time. Imagine a team editing a whole 2 to 3 hrs movie from which many footages are cut down.

@Dbz death If you're wondering if I think the MCU is good because I'm young, you should know that I had low expectations for Eternals, Love And Thunder, and Mulitverse of Madness. For Love and Thunder, I knew it was going to be silly because I saw some reviews for it beforehand. For Multiverse of Madness, I only watched it for Sam Raimi and I didn't really care about the cameos/multiverse stuff, and that I enjoyed too. And for Eternals, even though it is not a perfect film, there was surprisingly some things I really liked in that movie. The TV shows I found decent to great was Hawkeye, Lori, and WandaVision. So yeah, I like the MCU.

I don't know how you can say the special effects were bad at all in that film. Everything looked like it had similar quality to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but probably better because its newer stuff. And the floating head to me wasn't bad CGI. It just didn't look aesthetically pleasing and looked out of place so it felt a little silly at first. I mean it's literally a big floating child's head. I wouldn't say the VXF team did a bad job, I just think they could have chosen something more fitting, but it's easy to forget about after a few seconds.

You gotta give Shang-Chi some credit bro. The exterior shots of the bus fight scene were actual practical effects (they used a real bus attached to a garbage truck to hit cars). They used a replica bus in a blue-screen room for the interior shots. Other than that, I say about 90% of the CGI was trash especially when the Ta Lo army fought the soul eaters and the scene when they were driving through the maze forest thing to find Shang-Chi's mom Edit: since y’all wanna talk about budget, put this into perspective Transformers Budget: $147m Transformers CGI: 11/10 Shang-Chi Budget: $150-200m Shang-Chi CGI: 2/10

Looking how the quality in the CGI dropped as the MCU progressed years later is just crazy and look at the Monsterverse's CGI, you can tell that the VFX artists were treated properly due to how amazing and consistent it looks with each film, especially the recent Godzilla Vs. Kong movie back in 2021(Considering each film takes 3-5 years), cannot wait for Godzilla x Kong The New Empire though.

That Shang-Chi example is very laughable. The "Iron" or the Grab Rails, as their called, have multiple points of contact with the interior of the bus. They're not floating. They are attached to the ceiling of the bus, the floor of the bus and even other rails of the bus. He cut through the yellow part of the rail, but both parts are still attached to other parts of the bus. If you've never been on a bus, that's fine but at the very least, understand you're ignorant to bus grab rails instead of trying to critique a movies CGI for something the artists behind the CGI actually got correct.

I knew the ending BP fight was bad. But what probably takes the cake is how the camera has to adjust its angle to make it work. Like they aren't even hiding that is how they are making it work. Can someone do a 180 around a pillar? Yes. But you can literally pinpoint the exact moment when they did the swap and the need to CGI in the transition which makes it seems like it defies the laws of physics to make it work.

A crutch and a novelty that wouldn’t hold up forever- especially since they didn’t really plan much further ahead beyond the foreshadowed Infinity War saga- and by then, the signs of fatigue had already begun to show... especially in the CGI department.

Only a few can master CGI, at least we know Marvel can do it, they cant be bothered to put the work and money into smaller project but they know how to do it .. The only amazing recent CGI project is Rings of Power, this was a masterpiece visually but Amazon spent 1billions. The Shang chi pipe isn't floating... you can see from previous shots some of the pipes have silver things wrapped around the top. If you mean the middle, those pipes are probably strong enough to hold his body weight, bus handles aren't that flimsy

Actually if you pause the video and click 0:06, you can see that there's another grey bar attached to the top of the bar The maker of this video thought that it's a cut (because the cut below that is grey) 😂 So it's actually not a mistake at all

Because legitimately, there is another theater near me that does 4K screens and some movies have legit looked better there.
