MVCI may not be great, But at least it helped Capcom realize and learn from its mistakes and give us some great games like DMC5, RE2&4:Remake, RE7&8, and SF6.

Infinite didn’t kill MVC, Disney did. They forced the art style, the roster and the crappy story. All while making capcom carry the bulk of the production cost. Disney didn’t invest any budget into the game and yet forced capcom to make the game feel forced into the MCU

I refuse to believe that Infinite killed the franchise. It wasn’t that great but it didn’t feel franchise-killing levels of bad. I feel like Capcom could bounce back from the mistakes they made with Infinite just look at how they made a comeback with DMC 5, RE 7 & 8, and SF 6.

I remember when MvC 2 came out. It was on xbox, ps2 and even on the Dreamcast. I was so pissed because I owned a gamecube. I don't regret buying the Nintendo console, since it had the games I enjoyed, but it was frustrating to not have this title. But is redemtion time on the Switch!!!😁👌

I would say UMVC3 is the best of the series. XvSF was one my favorite fighting game of all time. I never consider MvC2 as the best because that game lacked the storytelling. It's just more rosters, and minor changes on the gameplay mechanics. There's no compelling story in MvC2. It's like delivering banger dream matches, but there's no stories and build-up to it.

Yesssssss!!!!!!! The collection is amazing and UMVC3 (I only bought and played it this year for the first time). But yes MVC2 I played back in the day and still holds. I do wish they somehow brought the other console modes like score attack or survival or something. But again online is great and I am using the Switch! Probably won't run into Justin Wong and request a refund 😂 Having said this makes me worried about power stone for the collection 2. I would love to try the console game modes but the collection versions are the arcade versions.

There was a time where Marvel had this stupid ass mindset of: “We have to make everything like the movies!” And sure people like the Marvel movies, but they don’t want them in EVERYTHING! And after MVCI was released, Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians of The Galaxy, sales wise suffered as a result. Proving that gamers want something different in Marvel games, so basing your video games on only the MCU doesn’t work.

Tatsuonoko vs capcom changed the control style. ok, its a marvel vs game on the wii, i get it make it easier. MVC3 followed that same controller layout. Big time fail. Its a fighting game, your core audience is all that matters. new comers can learn or not play.
