Dr. Jubbal, I really appreciate your content! It has given me so much help in preparing for a profession in medicine. Some content ideas if the time comes to discuss them: I'd love to learn more about residency spots and the trend of them growing or decreasing. I would also love to learn even more about AI and its current and projected interactions with radiology specifically. I'm currently in medical school trying to decide between diagnostic neuroradiology or neuro-ophthalmology. But also very interested in IR. I received advice from an interventional radiologist that artificial general intelligence honestly could decrease demand for radiologists within 20 years (I will finally finish a fellowship in 9 years, so 20 years is at least relevant). I know you have created videos about this and I have watched them and really enjoyed the perspectives shared. I wanted to see if you would have any updates based on AGI and its effects on the demand and economy of it all. And also some more specifics of the ways AI is improving the field. I'd love to learn about the business aspect of running or owning a practice. I'm almost finished with a healthcare education focused MBA as well and I constantly seek any opportunities to learn about the intersection between managing a practice and increasing the ability to help as many patients as possible by being organized and efficient. Eventually I plan to create a medical school or a residency that incorporates faith into the education. I'd be interested in your thoughts about whether it could be a good thing or a bad thing (of course its nuanced) to create more medical school spots or residency spots (effects on salary of physicians and therefore decreasing the amount of people applying to become a doctor given the sacrifice and debt). And even thoughts about incorporating humanities into medical school education, or the viability of having a faith-based education or practice (like at Liberty or BYU - my undergrad was at Brigham Young University and I loved the incorporation of Christ and religious texts and history/humanities about the human body for example when learning neuroscience or ophthalmology ("the light of the body is the eye" - Sermon on the Mount/Matthew 6), in the curriculum). Creating more residency spots on the other hand could really reach more people desperate for care too. I'd also love to learn more about humanitarian opportunities, like imaging or cruise ship cataracts, etc. for different specialties, a topic that doesn't seem to have been discussed in other videos from KZbinrs. Again, thank you for creating this awesome channel!

Hello !!! I hope you are doing well. Actually, I'm a student from Pakistan studying MD in Avicenna Tajik State Medical University (Tajikistan). The duration of MD in Tajikistan is 6 years, while that of MBBS is 5 years because they also provide MBBS for students from Pakistan and India. Although their original degree is MD. The bottom line is, does it matter for GMC or AMC if i study MBBS (5 years) from Tajikistan instead of studying MD (6 yeasrs). Shall i be accepted by the General Medical Council or Australian Medical Council as a Doctor ? Shall i be allowed to take PLAB or AMC exam ? Because i really want to work as a Doctor in UK or other European Countries. Please reply because your honest reply can save my time, money and my future.

Is a BS nursing degree a pre med major?
@HeyItsLonewolf11 ай бұрын
no
@richardouellette404111 ай бұрын
There is no pre med major. Pre meds can major in anything as long as they meet the pre-requisites. The most common majors are biology and biochemistry just because of how much overlap there is with the requirements, but you can major in anything. That said, nursing is probably not the most efficient way to do things because you will be testing for licensure to practice as a nurse. I wouldn’t get a degree in nursing unless you want to be a nurse. Now if you already got a BS in nursing and then decide to go to medical school later, by all means do that, I’m just saying it wouldn’t be the most efficient pick to begin with
