When I was an underinformed mixer, I picked up the free bundle, and dismissed em because... well, I didn't understand. But I'm a huge fan of this bundle... I use the oscillator for all kinds of tests, and there's a bunch of stuff you're showing in this video that's super useful. Nice feature, man!

Thank you! It happens to all. The UIs are not the best either, but they are indeed hidden gems

Great tutorials as usual. I have the collection but haven't gotten around to using many of the plugins. Didnt realize there was a comb filter in there or how to use the mratio. I use the tremelo and vibrato quite a bit on orchestral instruments strings and even flutes. I like EQ as well and have used it on the master bus, its great for finding and notching out nasty frequencies.

That's great! The comb filter is pretty nice and the compressor with the custom shapes is amazing
@genuinefreewilly5706 Жыл бұрын
@@AlexReidStudios good point about the compressor I had no idea that feature was there. I am on a strict budget myself, out of necessity I am getting pretty good at making tons of samples, its easier than I thought the workflow I use in Reaper. For the time being I am settling in with the free Sitala decomposer . Its a little time consuming loading up. I could dive into Decent Sampler but I really dont like the software, I just find it glitchy. I am digging some really simple synths of late yoozmusic's 303 lean easy to use works great in my DAW

I dont use melda stuff often but its always nice when i do. their GUI design is really pleasant
@AlexReidStudios Жыл бұрын
Not joking, you are the first person I know likes the UI lol. They are great options to have, with a lot of tweakability
@GillamtheGreatest Жыл бұрын
@@AlexReidStudios i like how consistent it is. once you learn one of their plugins you pretty much know all of them. even the more buried features all work the same, and you can decide if you keep all the stuff visible at once or hide stuff to reduce visual clutter a bit. I am into that. although maybe i am the odd one out. haha
@AlexReidStudios Жыл бұрын
@@GillamtheGreatest Yeah consistency is key to understand better the whole package

@@GillamtheGreatest You are not alone ! I like the Melda UI too, yes it's different to most plugin ui's, but it is functional and consistent across the range, as you said. It grows on you the more you use them, and I use them a lot now (not just the free ones). So Alex, you now know of 2 people that actually like the Melda UI 😉
