One of my favorite things about the Imperial side of Squadrons' story is that it's a role reversal of the usual Rebel storyline. The enemy is creating a terrible secret superweapon that could spell the end of the war, so your team of plucky warriors has to find the secret plans, discover a weakness somehow, and put together a daring final attack in which the ace pilot flies within the superweapon itself and blows up its reactor from the inside. Except... this time you're the villains doing it to the heroes, and not the other way around.

Just had to salt the wound that was one of the cleanest and best SW Space battle games to come out. Cut short before what could have been a clean wrap up. No microtransactions, fun campaign crest multiplayer. RIP Squadrons

I used to be a competitive squadrons player, flew for vice squadron. Game was never the same after they other pros discovered po balling with the imperial fighters, completely took the immersion out of the game

Pinballing ruined everything I agree. The comp players loved it because well. It got them the kills. But at the end of the day it ruined it and the Devs pulled the plug before patching it so it became and eternal September but everyone left until the exploit abusers cannibalized the playerbase

Its been a long while since I played the campaign - I remember wishing Varko and even Sol would defect to the New Republic, Varko is obviously very disenfranchised with the Empire by the time of the game, but Sol is an interesting one. She's adamant that the Empire is in the right, but also very set on bringing back the senate and having an actual democracy. Its like she's perpetually on the verge of having a breakthrough that the New Republic is exactly what she wants, but is too stubborn to allow herself that breakthrough.

They've gotten really good at representation in Star Wars. I'm catching up with the comic books and I'm now up to around November 2022. The Aphra comics are great and it's following her exes and friends whilst they try and save her from some evil tech. All of them are well written.

Yeah, while this is interesting, this whole story was AWFUL….I’ve rarely heard worse dialogue in a video game, nor have I seen such stupidity from a game in terms of who lives and who dies. None of the characters of Titan squadron are actually sympathetic, even the one who has reservations. And the premise of it all is just really stupid.
