Jonathan Villar, Danny Valencia, and Ben Zobrist were in two different lineups. There may have been others; these were the ones I noticed. Also, since this was the AL, it would have been interesting to have seen who the starting pitchers were. The only interleague game I noticed was in an AL ballpark, and ironically was the only one, I think, in which you did mention the starter. Plus, the Astros game was from their AL days.

"A guy named Drew Sutton who I've never heard of." I've heard of him! I remember him because the Pirates claimed him off waivers and he had a couple good weeks for them. That was the year the Pirates spent April-July pretending to be good before coming to their senses with a late-season collapse. It was the year before they were *actually* good. That team also had famed eephusballer Brock Holt, to name a name that is actually relevant to the MLB outside of Pittsburgh.
@ryangale37572 жыл бұрын
Yeah, funny enough, Sutton wasn't actually THAT bad for the Rays that year either in a very small sample size. He wasn't good (much like a lot of the guys they ran out), but he was at least better than the likes of Will Rhymes and Brooks Conrad on that infield.

Even uglier was the Jays’ lineup in the second game of a doubleheader back in 2015 against Baltimore. They had clinched the AL East division title in the first game, so the second game was just an ugly lineup while the regulars partied in the locker room and went to the dugout wearing sunglasses

God, 2012 was a mess for the Rays. Did the numbers, and between the starting SS Elliot Johnson and a collection of replacement players they used throughout the year, they wasted 776 ABs on 0.565 OPS and -2.2 bWAR's worth of production (Matsui cost them more WAR in about 100 ABs (-1.3) than Elliot Johnson was able to contribute in 3 times the ABs (0.6)). What a disaster, and yet the overall team offense was still somehow only 12th out of 14 in OPS in the AL. Different time, I guess.
@epict13372 жыл бұрын
I don't know why so many Tigers fans hate Dave Dombrowski for selling so many players. We weren't competitive, we weren't winning even when we were considered competitive, he gave us decent building blocks to start a fresh run off of. If he didn't sell off guys like Porcello, Verlander, JD Martinez, Castellanos, do you think we'd still have guys like Spencer Torkelson, Riley Greene, Dillon Dingler? Probably not.

I love my orioles. But the last 8 years have been rough. Trey mancini has been out only consistently decent player. And that’s not a bad thing. I just hate that we’ve only had really one player that’s noticeable. Thank god we have a deep farm system. Adley, Colton Cowser gunnar Henderson, Grayson Rodriguez, Heston Kjerstad (if he can get healthy) etc. of course now we got mountcastle, he killed it last year along with Cedric (who really killed it), I have faith in Ryan, but Cedric so far this year, is making it seem like last year was a flash in the pan season. I hope not. Oh, and our best pitcher is out for the season. My friends, it ducks to be an oriole fan sometimes. 😢

You werent trying hard enough. I remember The rays between 2009-2010 being no hit 4 times and being perfect gamed 3 times in that span. I remember I hated Joe madden changing the lineup card every damn day and being the worst manager in baseball that year. I literally remember telling my friend i was surprised the Rays didnt get no hit every game and surprise the rays got no hit 4 times in the span of a year. Joe Madden couldnt keep his hands off the lineup card and it messed with hitters heads. Sometimes the leadoff guy would hit 9th and sometimes he would hit 3rd.

That Indians lineup was bad, but I don't think it's the worst they've put out in the last decade. May 28th, 2012 vs the Royals they had Jose Lopez batting cleanup less than a month after they DFA'd him.
