Hot take If you don’t like single player games you don’t like games you like human interaction. I it is very easy to make a fun multiplayer game because when you play with friends you already have previous jokes and banter you bring into the experience where when you play alone the designers have to carefully craft the experience to be interesting. I prefer single player games because I enjoy taking my time and exploring the world as much as I want without being bothered and I don’t want to have to rely on people to win a game or even play a game when you are required to have a team.

What you look for in video games is just different. There’s something to be said about multiplayer vs single player being different art forms. To me, it seems like Multiplayer is derived from how humans historically play with each other while single player is derived from how humans engage with art. It’s cool that we get to do both at once in this art form we call games.
