1:30 Interesting that two of his sons were named after titans. 2:59 I thought that was exactly what Zeus was refering to. 3:14 Well, then by definition it has walls. Pits have walls. Of course, if the walls of a pit fall down, then the things that were in the pit stay in the pit. You just can't remove them, nor put more things there. 14:15 I wouldn't want such job. Not that it is necessary. IIRC, Kronos wasn't against humans, just against Olympians, specifically his direct children. And since it appears that the whole worship thing only applies to Olympians, and Kronos is not an Olympian, he might be able to keep humans alive in spite of the Olympians dying of prayer starvation.

It's funny that there was actually one of the Titans who could flee Tartarus, even if he was captured again in the end. According to Valerius Flaccus, Koios Tartaros is said to have escaped and tried to escape from the underworld because he had gone mad. Which makes sense since he was considered the god of reason and was therefore said to have been the smartest among the Titans. In the end he couldn't escape Kerberos and was brought back by the Erinyes and surrounded by the Hydra. Valerius Flaccus, Argonautica 3. 224 ff (trans. Mozley) (Roman epic C1st A.D.) : "Coeus in the lowest pit [of Tartaros] burst the adamantine bonds and trailing Jove's [Zeus'] fettering chains invokes Saturnus [Kronos (Cronus)] and Tityus, and in his madness conceives a hope of scaling heaven, yet though he repass the rivers and the gloom the hound [Kerberos (Cerberus)] of the Furiai [Erinyes] and the sprawling Hydra's crest repel him." The Titans are also said to have been freed from their punishment after Prometheus Unbound. Aeschylus, Prometheus Unbound (lost play) : In Aeschylus' lost play Prometheus Unbound the chorus consisted of the Titan sons of Ouranos--Krios, Koios, Iapetos and Hyperion (and perhaps also Kronos)--released by Zeus from Tartaros. It is not known if the brothers were named in the play or individualised in any way.

Someone has probably already pointed this out but the lack of acknowledgment or worship towards certain deities was part of the Percy Jackson books. It caused quite a few monsters and minor gods to fade away. While the more popular ones became weaker over time because most mortals except for demigods and some of their parents also stopped believing in them.

1:57 - He's got more than a quarter. His grandmother was a descendant of Zeus & Poseidon, too, via Belus, the son of Poseidon & Great-grandson of Zeus. 2:55 - Some versions of Greek Mythology state that Prometheus created man before Rhea gave birth to the first god, Hestia, so it works. Also, Primordial god is a mistranslation. It's Protogenos. There were no gods before Rhea pushed the original 6 out of her womb. 3:03 - No, they didn't. Prometheus created man & He's a titan. 5:15 - False! Ares was most known for wielding *a spear.* It's why the Spartans did it. It's why the symbol for the male gender is a spear & shield, while Aphrodite's mirror is the symbol of the female sex. 6:17 - It could've existed. Do you know how spotty historical records dating back that far are? 18:30 - Bellerophon & Cadmus were alive around the same time as Perseus in Greek Mythology. They were the first generation of heroes, so their myths could've happened during the 10 years between the movies. Perseus was the first hero in Greek myth, but the other 2 were not far behind him.

Some greeks travalled the world and would come home and write that other people believed. Some of them described the manticore as a lion with human face and scorpion tail living in Persia. So it appears in these mythological greek books, but as living in Persia not Greece. But a lot of greek mythology monsters lived in other lands not in greece, a lot of them lived in Africa, Middle East, India and north Europe.

Minor point, but any of the gods CAN send people dreams even if they’re not gods of dreams. Athena does this several times in The Odyssey, and Zeus speaks directly through one of Odysseus’ servants at one point. The Greeks seem to have often spoke of a “a god” putting thoughts and visions into their heads without specifying which god it was.
