Great video...I must say that you clearly did not realize how much you put your safety at risk walking through the streets of East New York and Brownsville at 2 AM with a camera! I am glad you lived to tell the tale and show us your adventure.
@SuprToe2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your concern, but when I do these trips I understand at all times where I am and where I'm going, and I keep very aware of my surroundings. Part of the reason I cheated and took the A train one more stop to Shepard Avenue to walk to New Lots was because it was a shorter, safer walk. It's not my intention to imply NYC (esp certain neighborhoods) at night is completely safe. Everyone should keep their wits about them at all times. I only intend to show that currently, for some reason, the media is purposely hyperbolizing an alleged "spike" in danger. I'll address this in my next video, so thanks for the comment.

@@SuprToe ok. Glad you were aware. I could be a tad off with my assessment now as I moved Upstate 13 years ago. I went to High School in East New York and remember those areas not being the safest even in broad daylight. I am glad you were safe and I enjoy your videos. I am looking forward to part 2!

@@steamymemes7946 nyc is still pretty safe compared to the national average once you look up data lol NYC in 2021 had a murder rate of 5.5 per 100,000 people (source: Lx News & Council of Criminal Justice), and is on track for about 10% fewer in 2022. The U.S had a rate of 6.5 per 100,000. Yes, the crime rate did go up, but we’re still undeniably safer than the average. The United States at 2020 had a murder rate of 6.5. And you don’t want me to get to CDC’s data on New York as a whole compared to other states like Texas as of 2020.

Hey! On the previous video with the Livonia Ave overpass I noticed something! The reason the the junius street station isn’t connected is for a valid reason, this is my home station, so when I walked down the stairs to get a free transfer I looked up by the (L) train transfer stairs, and there was an abandoned 3 train mezzanine. So the entrance was actually connected at one point, the problem was that the stairwell would’ve left you in the middle of the street because of how the transfer path was built! Please check this out when you can, you don’t have to make a video on it but it’s something i discovered

great video. also to remind you thd D is worst then you thought because of the Concourse Construction to make matters worse the reason why my favorite line the D gets hate is because it's has horrible headways at night plus it's ends at 161 st Yankees Stadium so here's a little tip I recommend you doing this on late nights on a weekday and the D will run normal to 205th St but you end up doing this on a weekend get off at 161 St and Transfer for the 4 train to Mosholu Parkway after 161 St so yeah....the nights are worst but on the bright side it's quiet..... also did you really face reavel yourself 😳😳😳
