3:58 As a Venezuelan, I must make the correction here. We didn't vote for it. The government manipulated the votes. They used a 5-question questionnaire that had questions designed to confuse and sway the decisions of the people. They also have historically made it really hard to enroll into the electoral system for the youngest. It took me *4 months* to enroll. And there were even reports of public high schools seizing students within the installments, forcing them to vote despite being underage. To my knowledge, no troops have been prepared thus far. It's also election year for us. So it looks like it's just a stunt to distract people or pull some dirty trick to have a reason to seize power. Please help me get this out there.

Guyanese here. I appreciate the honesty and hope that it does not end up in war. The world knows why Venezuela is interested in essequibo. Power and oil. I fear as the Russia vs Nato war start, Venezuela will immobile their goons to invade.
@HappyGickАй бұрын
@@AndreGomes-mx4fm I hope so too. It just reeks of more corruption and power trips. I hope to finish my college education before it gets too heated up so I can leave should war break out. Although, with how little activity our army has had over the past 20-30 years, I doubt they'd agree to even participating in the war... They're severely underpaid, many only go to the army to have enough power to demand bribes. So they're there not to protect the people, but to get their families out of misery. I have a friend that used to be in the army, and left because of the corruption. Risking their and their families' lives for a war they will not benefit from doesn't look like a good deal tbh. A lot of those people are not dumb.
@RegenWayneАй бұрын
As a Venezuelan I must add... We do not want to take Guyanese territory. Esequibo territory was part of our founding territory both as a colony and as a republic. At some point, we lost practical control over it (which is mainly inhabited forest). But Esequibo BELONGS to Venezuela. However, most venezuelans do not wish a war nor a bloodshed over it.

Some indexes are based on feelings and horoscope readings, not the scientific method. They serve to push agendas. There's a source at the bottom, there you can see how pitiful that index is.
@Henri-117Ай бұрын
Is red because of the violence. When you think about violence in Brazil you will probally think about Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, but the truth is that the majority of violence in Brazil is from North and Notheast regions. If you analyse the data from states like Amapá, Bahia and Amazonas you will see that the tax of murders is very high, but many of the violence incidents are from some kind of "desolated regions" in these states, so is very hard to know if the data is correct. I heard many histories about armd conflicts between families in Rondônia for example, but I can't confirm if it was true or not because of the isoled status of the region.

I’m not making any opinion about Bukele, but I want to comment on your logic that public approval means that their freedoms aren’t taken away. I think World War 3 is rather unlikely due to current demographics. For a large war you need a young population with a high birth rates and people that are motivated to fight in a war, which was the case before World War 1 and 2. Today none of this is the case today, in most of the world you have a rapidly aging population with very low birth rates, and the young men have no interest in fighting in a war. So the wars today will be localized, slow and drag on for a long time. It's still very grim, but humans will fight wars as long as they exist, I'm sure it's programmed into our DNA.

@@alexanderkroboth3310Nah, ww3 would probably take a different form in conflict as missiles, long range weapons and robots are pretty much a thing now. Although i do see a somewhat repeat of ww1 with the lack of proper offensive development and with a ton of long range fire, added with the rather weak youth, resulting in a ww1’esque scenario with the “meat grinders” and such

It is sad that this is the reason why all our countries appear in a video. One can only hope that someday there will be peace.
@alexanderkroboth33104 ай бұрын
Mankind will never have complete peace, war is a part of human existence. War is necessary for creating strong civilisations and advances in technology. A lot of our modern technology was developed during WW1 and WW2 as well as a medical drugs and vaccines. Without wars civilisations become stagnent and eventually degenerate, which happens after they become so powerful that they have no real threats. One example is the holy roman empire, which degenerated into hedonism and eventually broke apart. A modern example is Europe today, 200 years ago it dominated the world, and today it's stagnent and didn't create any innovations for a century. It's also dependent on the USA for military protection, however this started to chance recently.

I just want to add here: China is harrassing and commiting several war crimes against the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea. Chinese troops have been into one-to-one combat with Filipino troops in the region. China has also depleted food resources and military equipments that was supposed to be delivered to the Filipino troops in Sierra Madre shoal. China has also bullied many neighboring countries in the South East Asian maritime borders. Theres alot of conflicts happening in the world, even on water.

Could anyone be surprised? Like, if you study history, the common denominator for war is… human nature, mainly its “I want to DO something” part. There will always be “changes” in Human society, peaceful or not. There will always be new people, that wants new things (Like new territories, new ideology, etc.), all of it based on their society’s past history. It’s “simply” cause-effect… it’s HUMAN NATURE. It’s always been like that. It will always be (Even in a post-human society).
