That's a pretty small battery, 120 watt hours. Don't expect to use it for your Minnekota... for more than about 20 minutes. Yes, I build ebkes, so I know. Otherwise useful for gadgets

I would say definitely worth the price. Lead acid batteries are heavy and a pain plus they don't last as long or put out as much power as you said. Especially if you have it on a kayak it is a no-brainer

Nice idea. I'm lucky that I can make these for less than one third of the selling price. Cabela's discontinued it. A 30AH battery by itself only weighs 5lbs.

Would these work for a 30-40 lb thrust trolling motor on a kayak? Been looking at some but I do not want to spend 500$+ American on a single battery, even if I got 2-3 of the cheaper ones that's inside the power box would this work for 12 hour fishing trips?

Thank you for the review @Ladybass, very informative! Since June 19' I've used the Dakota Lithium 54ah for my bow mount 55lb ipilot on a 12ft aluminum. Have never had it run down on us. Just wish I could buy a box for it! :) @nr3ful, Lithium just years ago was exorbitant. Now its a thoughtful investment. The Power Box will be nice at the beach/river/pier/hiking/4x4/etc as well.

Dakota Lithium has terrible customer support. If you have an issue with your battery they will offer no help. The main fuse in my box blows every time I use it. DL doesn't seem to care or offer a replacement.

I've been working with batteries for 10 years. If it was a lead acid battery you'd be correct. Lithium batteries are better of letting them go as low as you can then fully charging them.
