Every album makes me feel a different type of way, and I enjoy listening to each and one of them. The last two albums are sort of “pick me up and make me feel happy when I don’t feel happy” albums. However, I do absolutely LOVE Pretty. Odd. and it’s my favorite album by Panic! because it makes me feel so many emotions all at once.

pretty odd is an impossible record, it almost feels weird how not only they went this direction, but also did it so well with the weird song writing etc. its a shame anyone on the outside will see fever or the newer stuff and pass panic off as an emo band and nothing more because pretty odd is such an interesting and fun record

Here’s my ranking: 6: Pray for the wicked 5: Too weird to live, too rare to die (although there are some amazing songs on here, the album as a whole didn’t really speak to me). 4: Vices and Virtues 3: Death of a bachelor (I litterally don’t care what you say, I love this album so much. I think cohesively it works as a concept album of brendon’s journey to where he was at that point in his life, and the album as a whole really does speak to me. There isn’t a single song on it that I’d skip, I love all of them). 2: a fever you can’t sweat out 1: pretty odd

If the bonus tracks replaced some of the worse tracks on V&V, it could have been amazing! DOAB aka a singles compilation, but those singles are pretty good. AFYCSO is classic pop punk, what else is there to say? Pretty Odd is current day Beatles, and they did it so well! TWTLTRTD, perfection every song is an absolute banger.

Time for a hot take... 1. Vices and Virtues (Every track is just excellent, zero complaints about it). 2. Pretty. Odd. (A couple of weak tracks hold this back from being the best but as many will say, this is so heavily underrated. Please try and play more of these tracks live Brendon!) 3. Pray For The Wicked (It might be close to the release but after repeated listens I've really come to love most of this record). 4. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (Some of this record isn't for me but I can't understate enough how strong of a debut album this was for the band). 5. Death Of A Bachelor (Plenty of solid singles, but they're not as high quality as the ones in the albums listed above). 6. Too Weird To Live (Some good tracks but the majority of the album wears thin very quickly to me).

Odd. 7.9 (A beautiful gem hidden in a forest that I haven’t visited as much as I should so it honestly doesn’t deserve to be this low, but soon I have to relisten to this album!) 5. @@remixdragon6156 it sounds stupid and I know it's an unpopular opinion, but besides the fact that DOAB got really stale over time with the exception of a few songs, it also wasn't as coherent as pftw. sure, some of the higher points on DOAB may be slightly better, but the not as good moments also play a huge factor (or in its case the overplayed) and it ends up sounding like a playlist more than an actual album. those two albums were my hardest to rank, and while both are solid... they pale in comparison to the rest of panic!'s discography

My personal opinion: Notes: I at least like all Panic albums. Just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean it's wrong. Your opinion, if it happens to be different, isn't wrong either. I hope I don't start any wars over music, so just try to understand my trash opinions. 6. AFYCSO. It was a good debut, but it just isn't my cup of tea. There are some very catchy songs, but I feel like most of the songs just blend together and I end up forgetting what song just played. 3.5/5 Fav: I constantly thank god for esteban Least Fav. I write sins 5. Pretty. Odd. I love this album, especially since Ryan got some vocals in, but I feel like it isn't as well polished as some other albums. The style shift was interesting, but it doesn't compare as much to my top albums. 3.9/5 Favs: Behind the Sea, She had the World, and The Piano Knows Something I don't Least favs: none 4.DOAB. It's a good modern album by Brendon, but I feel like some of the singles aren't fairly showing the best off of the album. If the albums sounded less like a collection of singles, it would be better imo. 4/5 Favs: LA Devotee, The Good the bad and the dirty, House of Memories Least Fav: Emporer's New Clothes, Crazy = Genius 3. TWTLTRTD: This album was in that position where it was Brendon's first real "independent" album, and I credit it for being great. While the album is short, the songs are memorable. Small complaint is that I wish the bonus tracks were on the normal album, but stil an amazing record regardless. 4/5 Favs: Collarfull, FTYTD, Can't Fight Against the Youth Least Favs: Girl that you love(but it's not horrible) 2.(I'm sorry in advance) PFTW. I know that everyone is divided on this album, and I wish I didn't like it as much as I do. I get that is it a much lighter listen with less substance, but I respect it for what it is. So many songs aren't regarded as even listenable, I just feel like everyone should at least give it another chance. 4.5/5 Favs: Hey look ma, Roaring 20's, One of the Drunks, Old Fashioned Least Favs: The Overpass, King of the Clouds 1. Vices and Virtues. Easily the Panic album I've listened to the most. The bonus tracks are some of the best panic at the disco songs I've ever heard. The original album is good quality, too. I just wish it was easier to get every single bonus track on the album. It always helped with background noise, so I memorized the lyrics easily. It was my first "favorite album", and I'm glad it still stands. 5/5 Favs: Stall Me, Turn off the Lights, Hurricane, Nearly Witches, Bittersweet, Kaleidoscope Eyes, The Calendar Least Favs: none

Pretty.Odd is absolutely gorgeous. I love that you said it's positive, that's exactly what I got out of it. It's positive, yet dimensional and complex, and that's incredibly unique and difficult to do because that sound can so easily turn out to be melancholic, the line is rather fine and intuitive.

These will all be songs from the albums that were ranked higher than Vices and Virtues (btw I like and love these songs): • Girl That You Love - chorus and bridge • The End Of All Things - barely any lyrics • Vegas Lights - relies on annoying kid samples instead of filling in the second verse • Miss Jackson - “Miss Jackson, Miss Jackson, Miss Jackson are you nasty” is repeated 4 times followed by a bunch of oh’s • This Is Gospel - Doesn’t have an actual ending and instead just repeats “The fear of falling apart” 6 times • Far Too Young To Die - intro takes forever and the song relies on its chorus to fill in the blanks • The Piano Knows Something I Don’t Know - tacky intro and outro with only 2 verses in between • Behind The Sea - outro is very repetitive • We’re So Starving - not really much of a song • I Have Friends In Holy Spaces - not much lyricism, not much of a song as it is an extended interlude • Folkin’ Around - fun and better than the previous 2 but same reason applies • Northern Downpour - similar to This Is Gospel, this relies on repetition for last third • Every song from Fever - I love every song from the first album, but compared to Trade Mistakes, they would be less written. Every chorus is one or two lines that gets repeated a second time. Not to mention, some of the songs do the same thing for their verses or bridges. For example, Build God does the raindrops on roses part 4 times near the end, Nails For Breakfast has the second half of the first verse, second verse, and bridge be repetitive, and Camisado’s verses are the exact same, and its bridge is in a similar manner as its chorus.

My personal rankings: 6:PFTW (3/5) 5:TWTLTRTD (3.5/5) 4:V&V (3.5/5) 3:Pretty. Odd. (4/5) 2:AFYCSO (4.5/5) 1:Death Of A Bachelor (5/5) I like Death Of A Bachelor the most because every time I listen it just makes me want to listen more. I love all of the Panic albums but they all have at least 1 or 2 songs I always feel are throwaway songs. But DOAB doesn't have one bad song, and despite what you say about Crazy=Genius it was pretty good and a change of style. I never understood Pretty. Odd. But I kept listening to Nine In The Afternoon and it really grew on me. AFYCSO was an amazing debut album and There's A Good Reason is my favorite song on it. Vices & Virtues was alright but fatally flawed. TWTLTRTD was mostly forgettable, but I always skip over Far Too Young To Die because my best friend Jackson Klein committed suicide in November of last year and every time I listen to it I end up crying my eyes out. Still a gorgeous song and a pretty good album, but not for me. Of course we all have opinions and I understand and respect yours, but to me DOAB is still the best Panic album.

I might have commented my ranking two years ago but I can’t find it to edit it so here’s an updated ranking :)) 6. PFTW Not their best album although there are some good songs on here. Dying in LA, The Overpass, and Saturday Night are my favourites. Rest of them are meh. 5. TWTLTRTD The sound just didn’t jive with me. I only like Collar Full This is Gospel, Far Too Young To Die, and Vegas Lights from this album. Still not that bad. 4. DOAB This album is good. Love Golden Days, House of Memories, and LA devotee. Least favourites are Hallelujah, The Good The Bad And The Dirty, and Crazy=Genius. 3. Vices and Virtues This album is WICKED. Hurricane is an extremely underrated song. Always is amazing, as always lol. Sarah Smiles, Mona Lisa, Nearly Witches, Trade Mistakes are all amazing too. Least favourites have to be The Calendar and Memories. 2. AFYCSO Top two is interchangeable for me but damn this album is SO GOOD. Every song has something new to bring and it never gets repetitive. Favourites are Camisado, But It’s Better If You Do, Martydom and Tables. Least favourite is Nails For Breakfast. I don’t like the sound of all the auto tune. 1. Pretty. Odd. Do I even need to explain? This album is a musical masterpiece. Every song here is meaningful and lyrically beautiful. Favourites are Northern Downpour, WTDMTN, She’s A Handsome Woman. All great songs.

We can't deny the genius that is Ryan Ross. He wrote all the lyrics to Fever and Pretty Odd, as well as the majority of the music (Brendon, Spencer, and Jon contributed here and there, but it was mostly Ryan). I do like Brendon's lyricism and musical abilities, but there was such a poetic edge to the early Panic! lyrics, and the instrumentation was a lot more complex when Ryan was the bandleader.

AFYCSO is the best panic at the disco album IMO, the songwriting, lyrics, instrumentals were all so creative and different from anything that had come out at the time. Plus there is hardly any outside influence. Pretty odd was influenced by the Beatles, death of a bachelor was influenced by Sinatra, pftw was influenced by musical theater. But AFYCSO was just panic.

IDK if I would completely agree with your sentiment, AFYCSO was basically Fall Out Boy mixed with electronica and vaudevillian/orchestral influences. You forget, people pinned them up against FOB, considering they literally got as famous as they did through Pete Wentz himself. But their blend of all of those elements into a cohesive and interesting album was still absolutely creative!

A lot of pretty odd gives me like Really Good Disney Movie Nature Serenity vibes. That probably didn’t make sense but it doesn’t have to lol. The instrumentals in She’s a Handsome Woman definitely give the nature/beautiful movie kind of vibe, as well as the beginning of When the Day Met the Night. There are so many incredible bops on the album, so many songs to make tears fall, and so many inspiringly beautiful songs. Pretty odd is INCREDIBLE in my eyes and it is my favorite album for sure. Ryan Ross is truly an outstanding musician, and The Young Veins’ “Take a Vacation!” Really shows off Ryan’s style. As well as his solo work being truly beautiful. Now we just need some more music from Ryan :/

It has some great songs but it's not the best. I rate it 7.5/10 4-DOAB: It has a lot of great songs, House of Memories is underrated big time. 8/10 3-AFYCSO: Classic debut album, has a lot of amazing songs, but IWSNT is overplayed. 9/10 2-P.O.: I love this album, I listen to it whenever I'm sad and want something to feel happy about. This just has so many great songs, and they make me feel good. 10/10 1-V&V: I. Love. This. Album. It is perfect in every way, and the bonus tracks are probably the most underrated things ever. Honestly, a lot of PFTW is kind of annoying to me now. Especially Hey Look Ma and King of the Clouds. I still have a place in my heart for High Hopes though because that's the one that got me into Panic! at first. Pretty Odd and Vices are my fave Panic! albums, hands down. The thing about A Fever You Can't Sweat Out is if you were a teenager when the album came out then you rank it above other albums because of nostalgia, whereas if you're younger and hearing it more recently for the first time, you may not like it as much as some of their other albums. (I'm 28 and I have have a hard time picking my number 1 between Fever and Pretty Odd)

1. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (obviously. Prime Panic in my opinion) 2. Pray for the Wicked (I love the "Post Broadway Brendon" vocals and the instrumentals. lyrically it isn't fantastic but the positives far outweigh this) 3. Pretty. Odd. (Everything about it is great but I have to be in a mood to listen to this album which isn't the case with 1 and 2) 4. Death of a Bachelor (I love most of the tracks but there are a few too many missteps for me to rank it higher) 5. Vices and Virtues (I'm 50/50 on this album. I absolutely adore some of the songs but I find myself constantly skipping some of the others) 6. Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! (Least favorite album by far. I'm only into a few of the songs consistently.)
