Winter is on its way (unless you're in the southern hemisphere) and just in time for my Frostbite Caves list! The world is a relatively easy one which was a nice remedy from the hardies that came before it. Also, the plants are pretty good too.

Yet another list from me... 5: Hot Potato (Yeah I know you can level it up to melt octopuses, but when that’s not the case, it’s only available in its home world.) 4: Stunion (His range is good, but as you mentioned, His plant food is weak and he can’t affect the robots.) 3: Rotabaga (If you want a free, somewhat nerfed Starfruit with weaker range that can fly over BWB’s water, Rotabaga’s your best bet. If not, cough up 5 bucks (Or 6 pounds in your area, but again, I’m american), get Starfruit, and use him.) 2: Chard Guard (As I once said on Instagram, Chard Guard is Inner Agent 3 while Spring Bean is Shaggy, which is an analogy for Chard Guard is way better than Spring Bean. He doesn’t even have a sleep period!) 1: Pepper Pult (His ice-thawing ability is good, and he has good range! Always good for when you want some fire plants.) And that list was long. Now we wait for the Lost City list...

I would say the same thing as you, but I'd say the Chard Guard and Pepper-pult switched because of Pepper-pult's very slow recharge and if you don't have imitater, it's really hard to plant. If they made it normal 5 seconds, then he's first place.

Rotobaga's use is just like Starfruit. You spam them and hope for the best. Rotobaga carried me though a lot of the Big Wave Beach levels because it didn't need Lily Pads.

I honestly don't know what's so great about Fire Peashooter. It's just a Repeater that can thaw plants and it's slightly cheaper, making it only useful in Frostbite Caves. Sure, it's better than Pepper-pult due to the fast recharge. But I like Hurrikale better. Plus, the fire deals no splash damage, which just doesn't make sense.

My rankings: (I actually like the plants in this world 5) Hot Potato: It can be useful since it melts ice instantly and those annoying octopuses. But until I get it to Level 5, it’s just gonna have to settle in the Icy world where I got it from 4) Stunion: Idk why but every time I use it, it doesn’t stun as many zombies as I expected. It has helped me in some way, but I’d rather use the free Stallia plant since it clearly has better range 3) Rotobaga: I really like this thing. The fact that it shoots three projectiles helps me defeat zombies quickly and it’s helpful in the beach since it can planted on water! Yayyyy!!! I actually prefer this over Starfruit since it’s free (and no I’m not spending money on a plant) 2) Chard Guard: spring bean done right. It pushes zombies farther back and has three uses before needing to refill it. It was a huge help in these caves and possibly the other worlds too (though it’s outclassed by Hurrikale which I have) 1) Pepper-Pult: My best use of offense in Frostbite Caves, this fiery fist-o-pain is one cool plant (even though it’s hot 😎). Warms up my plants so I won’t have to use Hot Potato too often and helps damage zombies at once. Yes it’s outclassed by Fire Peashooter which I also have, but I wouldn’t have gotten through Frostbite Caves without Pepper-Pult.

My list! 5: hot potato This is really bad, but it is good in its world. 4: chard guard Good for knocking zombies back paired with slowing or stunning plants. 3: pepper pult It is a must have for its world as it can warm the ice, and it also has splash damage. 2: stunion My go to slowing instant plant, it stuns the zombies for a long time allowing me to defeat tough zombies, or farm sun. 1: rotobaga A really good plant for early, mid, and late game. In early game it can defeat zombies in other lanes. In mid game it can wipe out waves of zombies with 5 plants. In late game, pair it with torchwood and the zombies cannot get past your defenses. Very versatile.

I feel like the thought process of making the Pepper-Pult was that it was too good for 200 sun, but they didn’t want to make it more expensive because then it would be outclassed by Melon-Pult, so they said screw it and made it have a slow recharge

I reckon it’s largely to make the frostbite caves harder. If you set up a row of peppers then a large chunk of the garden’s gonna be immune to freezing very quickly, making it take ages to recharge means you’ll have to use other forms of unfreezing earlier in the round.

My list: 5: Stunion The stunion is a reskin of chili bean. That’s all I have to say. The chili bean is just better. 4: Hot potato One word: *ICE* 3: Chard guard Knockback is done better by other plants such as the primal peashooter and hurrikale. 2: Pepper-pult Good. Warms up plants around it, does splash damage, and is a fire plant. Basically a melon-pult from the dollar store (reference to it being 150 sun less than melon-pult 1: Rotobaga In my opinion, rotobaga is better than starfruit. It floats over water, and in PVZ 2 eclise, it’s projectiles get lit up by torchwood. IMO, best plant in frostbite caves.

You know, I've never understood the straight-up comparisons of the Stunion to the Chili Bean. Yes they both stop zombies with their gas but the stunning part of the Chili Bean plays second fiddle for me. Also the Chili Bean requires a zombie to eat it while a Stunion works on every non-machine.

My list... 5: Hot Potato Pepper Pult easily outperforms this plant. It’s really just a waste of a seed slot. 4: Rotobaga It certainly has its uses, such as being a floating plant, but I don’t find it good enough to be used instead of basic forward shooting plants. 3: Pepper Pult Very useful in Frostbite Caves, but otherwise just a slow recharging cabbage pult with a bit of splash damage and minimal extra power. 2: Stunion Very useful on levels with multiple zombies clumped together, and all for a reasonable price of 25 sun. 1: Chard Guard This is the only plant on the list I use on a regular basis. I find it much more effective than a basic wall but, and the fact it can push back Gargantuars makes it all the more usable. Probably my favorite defensive plant in the game.

Mine 5th: Hot Po(o)tato: useless, but better than gold leaf because you can level up it to melt octopuses, but can only be used on it's own world, that makes hot potato worse than grave buster 4th: Pepper Pult: buy fire peashooter before getting this slower recharging fire plant, pepper pult would be better if it recharges FASTER 3rd: Rotobaga: MUCH worse starfruit because of weaker range, does more damage but worse range, like I said 2nd: Stunion: a ok plant with awful plant food power, use iceberg lettuce because it freezes mocha while stunion can't 1st: Chard Guard: the only plant I actually like on this world, he can push back zombies but much lower health than infi nut, that's all I can say

Good point on the Hot Potato. Grave Buster is very useful in Dark Ages, while Hot Potato is only useful in the fist like 10 levels and then it essentially gets replaced by Pepper-Pult. I regret putting the Buster on my 'Worst Plants' list now.

My list: 5. Hot Potato (I didn’t know about the octopi thing until this video and HOLY CRAP THATS AMAZING. Still, it’s a specific plant for specific purposes, and I think the other plants are generally more useful) 4. Pepper-Pult (it’s not that bad, but it has a slow recharge that makes it pretty annoying to use, and it’s not that great outside of Frostbite Caves. Besides, Fire Peashooter is better) 3. Rotobaga (it’s a pretty strong plant for its cost but has a weird attack formation that makes it harder to use, but if you can use it well, it works great) 2. Stunion (a very good stun plant. What else is there to say lol) 1. Chard Guard (OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS PLANT. It knocks zombies back super far, it only costs 75 sun, and it becomes super OP when combined with Blover and/or Aloe. My 2nd favorite defensive plant in the game (only behind Primal Wall-Nut)

I'm surprised that Rotobaga only got 5th. It was my main attacking plant throughout the entirety of the game and basically carried me through most of the tougher worlds because of its fire rate and ability to cover multiple lanes.

Here I go again. Before I begin, premiums that are associated with a world will be included. 7. Hot Potato. She can be used to melt ice blocks and from level 5 onwards, but until then, she can only be used in her homeworld. 6. Stunion: It faces competition against iceberg lettuce's plant food and stallia. It is pretty good overall except in plant food where until it hits level 5 or outside its homeworld, its plant food effect is worse than iceberg lettuce. Stunion is more usable than Iceberg lettuce in its homeworld because all the zombies there can't be properly frozen. 5. Rotobaga: Can be planted in Big Wave Beach without lily pad. I think its underrated but there needs to be some planning in how its used. 4. Chard Guard: Pretty good defensively. It may only be able to hurl three zombies backward without plant food but you can plant on it again to renew him. When all his leaves are gone, he acts as a wall. Chard Guard himself is weaker than a standard wall-nut but still, pretty good. 3. Pepper-Pult: A very important plant for Frostbite caves. It warms plants adjacent to him and deals solid damage. If only he reloaded faster... 2. Hurrikale: Can be used to chill zombies and blow them back. Just like blover, it can be used to blow away airborne zombies. It is a good emergency measure. 1: Fire Peashooter: Better than Repeater and Pepper-Pult. Excellent Plant food effect and damage except against imp dragons, just like pepper-pult.

Frostbite Caves Tier List. 5. Rotobaga- No defense on the front, decent damage on the diagonal sides and is spammable and can go over water but isnt that great in groups of zombies. 4. Hot Potato- Can melt ice and octupuses(when leveled up) but takes too slow to get all thawed plants at once. 3. Stunion- Good plant to stall zombies and is very cheap but takes a 1x1 in its normal form and a 3x3 by its Plant Food not like the Iceberg Lettuce but at least its good here when zombies from its home world cant freeze. 2. Pepper-pult- Expensive, Slow Recharge and honestly Snapdragons a bit better. At least good damage and is good on the middle of the lawn when Ice zombies chuckle ice on you. 1. Chard Guard- Good to knockback zombies especially gargantuars and Bully zombies. Cheap as well and does a little bit of damage. P.S: My Opinion and zombies' names might be inaccurate.

My ranking: 5:Hot Potato. Do i even need to explain this? 4:Pepper-pult. He is actually quite decent in Frostbite Caves. However, he has a very slow recharge. There are also some other plants that can do the same thing as him but better. He is also outclassed by Melon-pult and Winter Melon because they do more damage and recharge faster. He isn't also too useful outside of his home world. His splash damage is also just 10. 3:Chard Guard. You basically abondon Spring Bean forever when you unlock this guy. He can fling zombies kinda far. However, he can only fling 3 times and after that, he just becomes a mini Wall-nut. However, he can be used with Blover to blow away the thrown zombies, even Gargantuars! 2:Stunion. He is basically İceberg Lettuce but way better. He can freeze multiple zombies and can even freeze the zombies in Frostbite Caves! He really helped me in Pyramid Of Doom. However, he isn't too good with knockbacking plants like Primal Peashooter because they remove the stun effect when they knock back the zombie. 1:Rotobaga. She is very helpful. She can attack in 4 lanes! Also, she is is only 150 Sun so she can be spammednand dominate levels! She is very good in Jurassic Marsh and Big Wave Beach aswell! That was my ranking. İf the 2 Premium plants were included, Hurrikale would be at the Top and Fire Peashooter would be higher than Chard Guard but lower than Stunion. However, i really hate how you put Rotobaga at the bottom and Hot Potato at 4th.

Rotobaga works well with the Garlic. Make one line of Rotobagas on the second and fourth lane, and then at the end of these lines, put a Garlic.

Stunion is really underrated in my opinion, from it's long stun time and leveled up poison, it is definitely my favorite stunning plant and it is really useful.

5. Hot Potato is only useful in the Frostbite Caves and nowhere else. Heck, the other fire plants actually do the job better cuz they melt the ice blocks in a 3x3 area or destroy an entire lane of ice blocks. Octopus can be melted if Hot Potato reaches level 5, but Rotobagas have no problem making octopus sashimi. 4. Stunion was added to the game so that there was a way to stun Frostbite Caves zombies because Iceberg Lettuce only slows the zombies down in that world. Yes it can stun more than one zombie, but Iceberg Lettuce has the better plant food effect. Also, leveling up the Iceberg Lettuce causes it to freeze more than one zombie, making Stunion almost useless in other worlds regardless of the poison effect it gets when leveling up. 3. Pepper Pult is a weaker but cheaper Melon Pult. What's holding it back is the slow recharge. If it were to have a faster recharge, then Pepper Pult would have been at the second spot. But for now, 2. Chard Guard knocks back zombies 3 times before all of his leaves fall off. No problem! Plant food or Wallnut first aid can fix it. Also Chard Guard and Blover are such a good pair I almost ship them. But it's weaker than the Wallnut once all of his leaves are gone. 1. Rotobaga is slightly worse than Starfruit, but it's strategy is just like Starfruit. Spam the crap out of Rotobaga. Just because a plant slightly worse than a plant with a similar function, it does not mean it is 100% bottom tier. In fact, Rotobaga is much better in Big Wave Beach than Starfruit is because it can float, therefore Rotobaga does not need a Lily Pad. It's also easy to spam because Rotobaga has a fast recharge and a fairly low sun cost. Someday, I'll have the Starfruit, Gold Bloom, Cold Snapdragon, Wasabi Whip, and Imitater, AND I'LL BECOME THE MOST POWERFUL PVZ2 PLAYER EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I think these are the plants I use the least, but let's do the rank: 1. Pepper-pult: It's a good attacker plant, but its sluggish recharge it's your worst attribute. 2. Chard Guard: Yeah it's useful in multiple situations, mainly because it delays Gargantuars 3. Rotobaga: I like it but I end up using it again only on Big Wave Beach 4. Hot Potato: Only useful in your world, but that's okay 5. Stunion: I never use it, so it's no use ranking it higher.

5 hot potato: your probably better off with either pepper-pult or fire peashooter and it's recharge is really low to be super helpful and even if you level it up to make octopi disappear it's only available in its own world 4 stunion: you know iceberg lettuce exists right but it is still useful since frostbite cave zombies can't freeze 3 Pepper-pult: even though it is strong your still better off with fire-pea and the recharge is so slow that I would be about 80 yrs old before its done recharging 2 chard guard: it's really helpful if you have blover but it's knockback is really amazing too 1 rotobaga: in my opinion one of the best plants if you level it up it can really help, with things like the pterodactyl in Jurassic marsh or that rocket dude in wild west But still starfruit is better

This ranking was the hardest to do because I don't think any of the plants associated with this world are bad, in fact this might be one of the best worlds when it comes to plants. Anyway, let's get to the point. 5. Hot Potato: Before the leveling system was introduced and when it was a generic gimmicky plant that was useful in its own home world while simultaneously acting like a Grave Buster for it, it was just a generic gimmicky plant that was useful in its own home world while simultaneously acting like a Grave Buster for it. But it's gotten more value than that now since it has been buffed. You HAVE TO appreciate that because of the nature of Octo Zombies in BWB, Octo Zombies are the catalyst for the difficulty of the aforementioned world. When it comes to FBC, it's a life saver for when you ever come across a Hunter Zombie or more, as the thawing plants alone won't help considering they take a step-by-step to remove the ice completely. Anyway let's not get far too much and go on with the next ranking. 4. Stunion: I personally prefer Iceberg Lettuce because it's easier to level up and can extinguish the flaming parts of some zombies, not to mention its plant food power just seems more favourable to me because it freezes each and every zombie that appears on the screen, while Stunion just immobilizes those that area in the 3x3 area around it. But Stunion does have its uses too, it practically does better than Iceberg Lettuce in this very world, with the latter suddenly losing its immobilizing effect while Stunion maintaining it, not to mention that it synergies well with fire plants (any smart player would take that into consideration). 3. Pepper-Pult: Look, just because it recharges at the speed of a Wall-Nut, doesn't automatically make it a bad plant. It's not Melon-Pult, but it's not Cabbage-Pult (or for a better comparison based on DPS, Kernel-Pult), either. It's in-between in a very balanced way, which is a minor but interesting detail. Its full potential comes unlocked in its home world due to it being the best fire plant at thawing ice (Snapdragon doesn't thaw ice behind, while Pepper-Pult does, FYI). And even aside from that, it's actually a really good plant when you give it a chance. It has a very good and balanced damage output that comes naturally with its sun cost. It also has splash damage, which, although relatively weak, can matter to some players and can be improved through levelling up. The only real problem is the recharge time, but that's just one downside. 2. Rotobaga: Lightning Reed but good and even more of a spammable plant. This plant just works because of the slider tiles mechanic, not to mention it's enough to counter a weasel (Lightning Reed can't even one-hit a weasel, such a shame). Starfruit is premium while this is free and does slightly more damage at the cost of a better range. It's simply great. 1. Chard Guard: A much, much better Spring Bean. Its combo with Blover still exists and has yet to have been dispatched unlike Spring Bean's combo, which simply and automatically shows how inferior Spring Bean is. Another thing to note is that Chard Guard actually does damage to zombies unlike Spring Bean. Also, it can be used three times, while Spring Bean can be used only once (that is, if it doesn't manage to survive). What is also interesting to note is the fact that it cannot be frozen by the Hunter Zombie when its leaves haven't fallen off. That's 4-0 for Chard Guard. And of course there's much more, fuck Spring Bean.

Here is my worst to best tier list. 5th place pepper pult: recharge time may not seem like a big deal until you realize the other options of warming plants are so much better. Snap dragon May not seem good because he’s in the melee area but in frostbite caves melee is pretty useful even if he has half the damage input as pepper pult not to mention he’s even more situational than hot Potato. The moment where he shines is in last stand levels in frostbite caves but even then his cost is pushing it. If his recharge time was 10 or 15 he would be higher but 20 is just pushing it as an offensive plant. Overall ranking C 4th Hot Potato she can be pretty useful but is only useful in frostbite caves. And the octopus zombie can be countered in so many ways and hers is the worst. Getting her to level 5 is a complete chore and for one single counter to a zombie is pretty wasteful. Her only saving grace is that she’s free and doesn’t hurt to use her in frostbite caves. Overall rank C+ 3rd Rotobaga: such an underrated plant. He’s decent in frostbite caves but really shines in big wave beach. Even if star fruit is better Rotobaga if used correctly becomes insanely good. If placed in the odd number of the lanes in big wave beach you create a counter to the octopus. Sadly rotobaga’s weakness is so bad we can ignore it, it’s only good in groups and is terrible in last stand levels or don’t lose or have no more than x number of plants, you can lose him easily and sometimes other plants are better. But his utility is far more practical than the previous rankings Overall rank B 2nd chard guard: good in many scenarios and can be used outside frostbite caves. Simple idea but is crucial for countering Gargantuar at times. Not much to say other than that. Overall rank A 1st Stunion. Three words Cheap multi stunner Not the best but you can pair him with other plants and there the fact he can be used in more worlds makes stunion just good Overall rank A+

my list 5. hot potato: besides most of frostbite caves and certain battlez tournaments this thing is practically useless and worthless. 4. stunion: i have never personally been too big on stunion since its basically chilli bean's ability with shorter range. 3. rotobega: this plant is just a cheep starfruit that can only shoot in 4 directions instead of 5. 2. Chard Guard: i don't actually like this plant but it's still better than the rest of them. 1. Pepper pult: to be honest, pepper pult is the only good, heck, even great plant in frostbite caves because it is actually useful! also it has fire damage, a bit of splash damage, and can warm up other plants, if you don't have fire pea by the time you get frostbite caves, you should skip that world until you get fire pea and some other plants.

My list 5. Hot potato (Not only is it only useful in frostbite caves, they are not even essential for that world because of other plants that can warm up other plants) 4. Stunion (As a stunning or stalling plant, I don't really use it as much as other options, it's just kinda lame compared to something like the iceberg lettuce) 3. Rotobaga (As an attacking plant it's kinda bad but it does has its layers if a zombie goes past your defenses but really it's just a free, weaker starfruit) 2. Pepper pults (A catapult plant that does more damage and thaws out plants, sure it's not the most useful plant to use in other worlds but compared to the other 3 below it, it is) 1. Chard Guard (Being able to push back zombies farther away and can do it 3 times before it's done makes it way better than the spring bean and you can regrow thought 3 leafs to do it again, but the only reason why this plant is higher than the pepper pult because it's the most useful in other worlds than it's own)

Here's my list: 1) Pepper-pult: Ignore the sluggish recharge, he's pretty good especially when you level him up. He can do splash damage and defrost the plants, he's underrated eventually. 2) Rotobaga: May be a weaker version of starfruit but it's underrated. At least, it can float on the sea in big wave beach, so you don't need a lilypad for this. 3) Chard guard: Nice one, a combo with hurrikale or blover is worth it. 4) Stunion: May be better than chili bean but stalia is still better than the former. 5) Hot potato: Another version of gravebuster but for ice, good in its native world. Should you level up to 5, you will be able to eliminate the octopus, now it's a lifesaver in big wave beach. Don't mind my poor evaluation, I played the game and finished it prior to the world extension and having upgrade feature.

Stunion yeah this thing is kinda pointless considering the chili bean basically does the same thing but also kills a zombie 3. Rotobaga im a big fan of the starfruit already so a slightly weaker version of it I also like And it’s use in the big wave beach is nice 2. Pepper pult first of all this thing looks kind of like a pumpkin but when I first played frostbite caves I did not have fire pea so this carried me 1. Chard guard one of my most used plants it’s combo with the blover makes it very Good it has a lot of hp and knock back is just a generally very good thing to have
