I love Muk aka Sleimok specially the Alolah version which is Hawaii in the Pokemon world. Cause everybody get's so grossed out because it is so slimy and stuff, and that's why it has no friends. In the actually anime you can see how friendly it is, and always demands hugs. That's why i love it, cause so many people get freaked out. Same kind if love i have for spiders, because of that. And of course always aware of the danger.

Oh and to explain the opening, there is a feature in some of the earlier Pokemon games (gen 1 to 4 if I recall) where if your pokemon is poisoned, they take damage in the overworld too outside of battle as you walk more. That feature was weaned off from the 5th generation onwards
@yugioht42Ай бұрын
Skrep is actually based on the rare leafy sea dragon which is technically a seahorse. It’s just really hard to find because they don’t really exist near Japan nor the US. We don’t really know their range either just that they show up when conditions are right. They are also very small but act like seahorses. Seahorses are one of the toughest species to keep in a tank because of their mouths and digestive systems. Their mouths are tiny eating mostly plankton and zooplankton. Unfortunately they lack any real digestive system. They literally burn through food very quickly and they don’t really go anywhere. Their literal job is to blend in with plant life around them and reproduce. Also their bodies are nearly pure calcium just jointed at the head and tail to allow some movement. Evolution decided to make their fins pretty much useless. It’s very difficult to keep seahorses because of their exacting conditions and food requirements. A few hobbyists have successfully created colonies but for most people it’s too difficult.

YAY! My favourite type! Fun fact: Salandit and Salazzle are based on salamanders and certain types of lizards that can spray a foul smelling liquid from pores on their tail, Salazzle and Salandit are not only poison type, they are also FIRE type so they use their heat to turn their poison into gas. Also, one poison pokemon that came out AFTER this video but I'm sure you will enjoy it's Toxtricity ( first stage Toxel), they are lizard/toad poison/electric type based on punk rockers, having a giant mohawk made of pure electricity; by stroking the bony protrusions on their wrist on the ones on their chest they can manifest a LITERALLY ELECTRIC guitar (or bass, if they are the type with the ble mohawk). Also also, you know when he mentioned the Alolan Muk? It's actually an environmentally friendly pokemon, feeding on garbage thus cleaning the environment. ... I love poison type pokemons.

Fun fact about Salazzles: It isn't just Pokémon that their gas works on. According to the Pokédex entries, their poison is laced with potent pheromones that they use to turn males into their mind-controlled slaves. The pheromones even work on humans. Also, the Salazzles make reverse harems of the men under their control. So, in other words, if you get sprayed by a Salazzle and you're male, you could spend the remainder of your life as one of many mates to her and be unable to resist or ever return to your old life, as the Pokédex never mentions a cure.
@falsnamae3511Ай бұрын
A chansey or an Audino could use its cures to heal a Salazzle intoxication, as they're able to cure any condition. The greater risk is Salazzle's poison actually, you know, poisoning you, since you're not a poison type and thus immune to it, giving you a very thin window for an Audino to come along and heal you, since you're not actively going anywhere to seek treatment, but instead staying near the poison's source.

For as long as I’ve been a Pokémon fan, literally for longer than I’ve been able to read, I never would’ve known about Lockstin & Gnoggin if not for you two, so thank you for that. Poison is one of my favorite types. Toxic creatures get a bad rep in real life but it’s just another method of survival, even the mightiest lion must tread carefully around the snakes in the grass. Also Nidoking is another of my all time favorites.
@AltimaMantoidАй бұрын
Poison is my favorite typing! And I'm one of those weird people that really loves Weezing. I used to fool around in the competitive scene with what is called a "Monotype" team, where each member of the party must share one common type, in my case it was the Poison type :) I'd say my overall favorite Poison types are Weezing, Crobat, Tentacruel, Toxicroak, and Salazzle! There was a tiny error with this video, they called it "Skunktank" but it's really "Skuntank" and it's name is accurate as it is decently tanky, having a pretty sizeable HP pool compared to its peers. Not like, an outrageous amount, but it does break 400 HP at the higher levels usually :)

I love your reactions to these videos. And you definitely learn some pretty interesting facts. My favorite is probably that flower that smells very bad but that just one out of every 1000 individuals actually thinks it smells good. I think that my favorite poison type is probably one called "Toxtricity" (a rockstar poisonous salamander) that sadly isn't feature in the poison type video because it wasn't revealed at the time. I really hope we could see you react to the rest of the videos.

@gatr2897Ай бұрын
I'll talk about Salazzle, and then since you guys didn't have as many favorites this time I'll talk about some of my faves :) Salazzle is pretty unique, only female Salandit can evolve into Salazzle, and only 1 in 8 Salandit are female. Salazzle uses its poison as a pheromone to control male Salandit and sometimes even males of other species. Pokemon actually once used the term "reverse harem" to describe the whole situation which is pretty wild of them lol. Salazzle is actually both poison AND fire type so it can use a lot of fire type moves too, and when it gets revved up in battle it looks pretty cool, hot pink fire sort of juts out from its hands, feet and sides. Honestly I wish there was an evolution for male Salandit. Before Salazzle got revealed I was obsessed with Salandit, I like the sort of bandit mask thing it has. Salazzle is cool but just doesn't scratch the same itch as Salandit for me personally. Even tho I absolutely hate wasps and hornets, I really like Beedrill, Mega Beedrill is one of my favorite Megas, it looks insane and in battle is even more insane. Normal Beedrill kinda really sucks in battle, but Mega Beedrill has absolutely sky high attack and speed, like completely ridiculous attack power, but it's also just unheard of levels of frail too. Pokemon has a status effect called confusion, and a confused Pokemon has a random chance to hit itself by accident when attacking, and the damage it does is actually determined by the Pokemons own attack stat calculated against its defense stat. My Mega Beedrill once one-shot itself from confusion because I had attack boosts on it, that's how strong and frail it is lol, usually confusion damage does like a little chip of your health, maybe like 50% of your health in the most drastic cases, but Mega Beedrill is just not normal lol. Amoongus is probably my favorite poison type rn, I have a plush of it! Funny mushroom guy, it and its pre-evolution have mushroom caps that look like Pokeballs. Since collectible items in the overworld in old Pokemon games look like Pokeballs, Foongus and Amoongus act as mimmicks in some areas of Pokemon Black and White. Surprisingly, Amoongus is actually one of the strongest Pokemon of all time in the competitive scene. It's not a hard hitter or anything like that, but the support it can provide for teammates is unmatched. It can use Rage Powder to redirect attacks into itself to save its teammate, and it has the bulk to take those attacks all day. The main draw though is that it can use Spore, a move that inflicts sleep. Sleep is one of the best status conditions, but it can be slightly difficult to inflict reliably because most moves that do it are innacurate, they only hit occasionally, but Spore is 100% accurate, the trade off being that it is only learned by Mushroom Pokemon, and all of the Mushroom Pokemon are very slow, meaning there's still counterplay to it other than just hoping they miss lol. There are also ways to become immune to Powder based moves, which Spore falls under. But yeah, Amoongus is the goat, it's a team player, I love using it. Since Bethany mentioned those toads with the funny spikey heads I'll talk abont Croagunk and Toxicroak, who are NOT based on those toads but Lockstin mentioned that toad when talking about them. They're very much poison dart frogs but adapted to be like martial arts fighters, in fact their secondary type is fighting. Croagunk is a bit of a minor mascot, hes really popular, Brock had one in the anime and there was a running gag where whenever he'd try to flirt with a random woman, Croagunk would pop out of its Pokeball on its own, poison jab Brock, and then sometimes drag him away. There's another character named Looker who also had a Croagunk who was a super badass, but it seems like that Croagunk has passed away offscreen :( Croagunk was also in Pokken tournament as a joke character, and he had an RNG mechanic but I don't remember the specifics of it. One of the main developers actually mains Croagunk, and I fondly rememeber seeing that developer have an exhibition match against a pro player and the dev absolutely demolished them, it was wild.

Croagunk is a fun name 😁 thanks for sharing more info on some of these Pokemon 😀

Bulbasaur Even if Charmander is my favorite, I’ve always had a soft spot for the little bulb frog both from the anime and a game called Pokémon Snap. Your friend was NOT bit by a Brown Recluse. It's an actual thing in the medical community that most doctors are not taught to differentiate a MRSA bacteria infection from a brown recluse bite, so nearly every reported "brown recluse bite" is actually just a misdiagnosed bacteria infection. NOTRECLUSE exists because of how ridiculously common this mistake is: Numerous bites (a recluse typically only bites once) Occurrence outdoors (recluses prefer the indoors) Timing from April to September (not their season) Red center (a recluse bite starts pale in the middle) Eelevated (a recluse bite is flat or sunken) Chronic (a recluse bite shouldn't last for weeks) Large (a recluse bite is small, under 10 cm) Ulceration within 7 days (too soon for a recluse) Swollen (recluse bites don't normally swell) Exudative (recluse bites tend to remain dry) Even from your brief description, your co-worker was clearly showing NOT RECLUSE symptoms.
