Though not released physically, the Pokémon TCG online featured red star promos. I am not sure if red star promos return in the new TCG Online.

Wait, I'm fairly certain it was the Black & White series that introduced Gold cards. Not Sun & Moon. Oh, and the alternate art cards with an A were not actually officially part of the sets for the cards they feature a different piece of art for. Those were released as "promos" in box sets long after the official sets were released. That Lucario, for example, was released here 3 years after Furious Fists was out; closer to the release of Sun & Moon's sets.

Great video and in general I have to say I love your work. If I could change one thing about this one (and this is pretty minor), I would make it so the audio for your voiceover is centered between left and right instead of leaning left.

Another set of cards with no rarity symbol are the McDonald’s sets. They are not black star promos nor do they have any other rarity symbols.
@dimetrodon22508 күн бұрын
TCG Pocket's rarity symbols are also very intuitive, and I assume they use different symbols altogether because the sets are exclusive to the digital game and are not just real life sets. (Plus they are digital media as apposed to physical printed cardboard, so they are technically infinite). "standard" cards use a diamond shape, with one for common, two for uncommon, three for rare, and four for ultra rare. Meanwhile the "hidden" cards use a star shape, with their amounts working the same way as the "standard" cards in relation to their relative rarity to each other. The exception being that instead of four stars, a crown is used instead for the rarest cards. I don't know if the TCG Pocket cards have their own terminology regarding full-art cards, alternate EX artwork, or those cool zoom-in cards. Since Promo cards in the set are obtained through other means like the shops, they don't have traditional rarities because you don't pull them.

Imagine if the TCG added marks to the cards, like the marks you can get on pokemon in Sword & Shield/Scarlet & Violet, they change nothing and are totally random, it would be chaos

Interesting. Never heard of V rareilty cards before.

JP just has the better streamlined rarity system and glad they fully polished it out by Vstar Universe and made Special Art Vs and Vmaxes an actual rarity instead of being stuck with SR/HR like Full Arts and Rainbows. While smoothly transitioning it into SV.
