Every Predator Movie Ending Fully Explained

1987’s Predator introduced movie audiences to a new kind of alien threat: one that actively hunts humans for sport. It was a different take on extraterrestrials in film, focusing on a race of warriors and trophy hunters, as opposed to invaders or - as in the Alien films - aggressive procreators.
Over three and a half decades, three more films have been added to the Predator movie franchise, along with two installments in the Alien vs. Predator crossover series, which may or may not actually exist in the same continuity as either Alien or Predator. With so much going on over so many movies, the Predator franchise can seem pretty confusing. So here’s every Predator movie ending fully explained.

Because people don't like things that went counter than what they thought. AVP was built up in the fan base for YEARS if not decades and the comics always had them itching for it. So after that time, the movie seemed underwhelming and disappointing for die hard fans that put FAR too much into a IP.

Before AVP 2 existed, I believe that the Predator xenomorph at the end of the movie was meant to lead into the first Alien movie. They found an alien ship with a giant alien, which I think was going to be a retcon ton imply that it was a Predator alien.

2 was great. They took the creature from the first movie and put him in an urban environment. Smart move. The lead cop was just that, a cop. Not a top tier commando. He was way more relatable to most people. It worked out great. It's all the other movies that fell short. I haven't seen prey but the others were so horrible that it would take some convincing.

If I remember ( its been a long long time ) in the comics the predators were far more physically powerful than the aliens the acid blood didn't affect them and they would literally punch through aliens heads and ripped the alien tungs from their heads but the aliens breed like reached and would swarm the predators .. man it's been since the 80s so I could be wrong

What's holding the franchise back is the lack of technological advancement. In the 80's when the first Predator was released, invisibility and heat vision seemed really high tech. It's 2022, and the Predators still use the same exact shit. They have not advanced at all. If you look at it from an in-universe perspective everything essentially falls apart. The Yautja are a technologically stagnant race that cannot defeat tribal native people. Think about that for a second. Think about how sheerly inept at actually killing things these vaunted Yautja are. The Predators are just poor and non-threatening antagonists. Sad to see such potential wasted. Make a new movie that retcons the previous showings of all predators to be strictly from the rookie class of Yautja. Show the rest of the Yautja race as a powerful technologically advanced race that reflects the fact that it is no longer 1980 and is in fact 2022. Give us Yautja with nano-weave fiber armor. Black hole localized generators. Nonsensical jargon up the ass that does cool magic. Not alien tarzan in a helmet getting 1v1'd by a girl with an axe.
