As a Spurs supporter I’d say Ange’s worst has probably been Dragusin. He’s had his moments, like against City, and part of the problem is being played out of position on the left to cover Micky. But he more often than not he doesn’t look good enough to start, even backup Romero. Bergvall hasn’t been good so far, but like you said he’s just a kid. He’s in a new country, new league there is bound to be some trouble adjusting. Will say I’m surprised how quickly Archie Gray has adapted. He’s still too early to judge but at least looks a lot of assured than Bergvall. Every time I see Bergvall play he looks so nervous. Could probably due with a loan maybe to boost his confidence and get more game time.

As an Ipswich fan, Panutche Camara is comfortably the worst signing of the McKenna era. Cost 500k from Plymouth (funds which helped them pip us to the League One title) and only played half an hour of football then left for nothing. Al-Hamadi has struggled in the Prem but made a contribution last season at a time when we were desperate for a striker, and we’ll probably get a few more quid if/when he leaves.

Yeah Al-Hamadi was signed because we desperately needed strikers. Obviously Keiffer Moore on loan was the big impact, but Ali was the rotation option and did his job. I think Camara was the worst because of really horrible injury luck, with Jack Clarke in danger of becoming worst (although there's clearly a cracking player in there and I still believe he'll come good).

Feels a little harsh on Lokonga. He was brought in as part of the youth movement, and the team just moved too quickly without him as he settled in. He showed he's a PL-quality player at Luton last year. I think Tavares or Willian would've been more worthy. Fabio Vieira may take the cake in the end.

Have to agree to disagree. Willian was a miss, I agree, Nuno was so desperate to make a good impression that he was wasteful, but he did have his moments, and if Vieira never plays another competitive minute for us, he's contributed more than Sambi. As for Sambi, whining about how he was owed minutes whilst knowing that the Amazon doc. crew were recording him combined with lacking performances when he did get on the pitch doomed him in the eyes of both management and the fans. If you're going to be that cocky, you need to back up your ego with action.

Close but Dyche's worst signing is Ben Gibson. Don't get me wrong Werghost was terrible the Premier League especially for Burnley and Manchester United but he wasn't hopeless like Gibson for Burnley. His disaster class against Everton was so bad he never played for Burnley again and that was his debut match. He never recovered since and he was part of a dreadful Norwich squad in the 21/22 season. Guardiola's worst is Bravo. Was bought to replace Hart but he was so bad that Guardiola had to use Cabarello before getting Ederson the following season. Arteta's worst is Sambi Lokonga. Was bought to improve the midfield but he's anything but a good signing and stinking out at Sevilla on loan. Ange's worst is Timo Werner. Timo Werner didn't live up to expectations at Chelsea and was poor in his return to Leipzig and is hopeless at Spurs. Marco Silva will want to forget the signing of Moise Kean. Couldn't hack it in the Premier League and the signing that cost him his job at Everton.

I think he's just a very polarizing player because he is an inconsistent defender, whose biggest strength is more his passing and technique than actually defending, too. With Ruben Vinagre, He was bought in on loan, and there was an obligation to buy if Sporting made the UCL R16 that season. Which Sporting did. By the time the UCL group stage was over though, Vinagre was dropped, mostly due to an awful performance in the UCL against Ajax, where almost every goal came down from his side. Whats even worse, is that Sporting only have 50% of his sell on value, with the other 50% going to Wolves. Vinagre was dropped in September of that season and barely palyed since.

Slot's worst signing is definitely Zerrouki. A large fee for Feyenoord's standards, hand-picked by Slot himself and he has just not looked like he has the quality to regularly feature in the first team. Ueda and Ivanusec also didn't live up to expectations and cost a similar or larger fee but they have not looked as out of their depth as Zerrouki.

If you look at Celtic there were a small number of poor signings but the one that stands out mainly due to the higher fee is Alex Bernabei. Yeah he wasn’t great but was very unlucky with injury and his transfer fee was low, was worth a punt at the time. I’d say Bernabei was worse as he cost a much higher fee than Ideguchi and also Kobayashi who was bad but a free.

I do feel it is important to highlight that whilst Lopez's goal scoring record might not be as good as Ben Yedder's, he still isn't a convicted rapist, and maybe that is more important when doing a player comparison.
